World Cup betting tips

The 2018 World Cup continues on Sunday with three matches taking place throughout the day. Groups C and D come to a conclusion with plenty of drama guaranteed. We’ve picked out today’s best World Cup betting tips.

Today’s World Cup Fixtures

Australia vs Peru – (Group C) – 3pm – Fisht Olympic Stadium

Denmark vs France – (Group C) – 3pm – Luzhniki Stadium

Iceland vs Croatia – (Group D) – 7pm – Rostov Arena

Nigeria vs Argentina – (Group D) – 7pm – Saint Petersburg Stadium

Australia vs Peru Prediction

Peru are out of the 2018 World Cup and will be heading home after this match. They’ve been fairly unlucky so far and should have netted a goal against both Denmark and France. Ricardo Gareca’s men will continue to play with fluidity and pace and they could cause problems for Australia here. The Socceroos have given themselves a chance of qualifying after picking up a point against Denmark but they need to pick up three points in this fixture. They played well against Denmark and arguably deserved more. Mile Jedinak has netted both goals for Bert Van Marwijk’s side so far and they’ll be hoping for another penalty decision to go their way. Peru have nothing to play for but they won’t lie down here. Australia must start with urgency and must continue to be strong at the back. They should be backed to get something from this game and are available at Evens with Paddy Power. You can use their £20 free bet to back the Socceroos.

Denmark vs France Prediction

Denmark need to pick up something from this tie to ensure they qualify. They sit second on four points and are unbeaten in Group C so far. They face their hardest match so far against France and they will need to be at their defensive best here. They’ve looked tough to break down in their opening two games although they were under the cosh for the majority of the second half against Australia. France haven’t been at their free-flowing best so far this tournament but they do have plenty of talent in their squad and they should be able to edge this one once again. Didier Deschamps’ side have goals in their team but it’s often difficult to beat Kasper Schmeichel. Les Bleus should win this but it may be by a slender margin once again. They’ve won 1-0 and 2-1 so far and it could be a similar outcome once again. France to Win by a 1 Goal Margin is available at 13/5 with Boylesports and you can use their free £25 bet to back French dominance.

Iceland vs Croatia Prediction

Iceland started the tournament well by picking up a draw with Argentina but they unravelled against Nigeria and found the Super Eagles too lively in the second half. They picked up a couple of knocks in that game and they will to at their best in order to topple the group leaders, Croatia. Heimir Hallgrimsson’s side should never be written off but they can’t afford to be as sloppy against Zlatko Dalic’s side. Croatia had an easy time against Nigeria before firing three past Argentina last time out. They capitalised on their opponents errors but always looked in control of the game and they are likely come into this game with plenty of confidence. Croatia will be expected to collect three points here and it should be reasonably straightforward. They can be backed at 5/4 with Betfred and you can use their £30 free bet to back the Croatians.

Nigeria vs Argentina Prediction

Nigeria have put themselves in a decent position to qualify following their 2-0 win over Iceland. The Super Eagles weren’t at the races in their opening Group D game but they’ve been much improved since and they can take plenty of confidence into this contest. They will fancy their chances of finding spaces in behind the Argentinian defence. Jorge Sampaoli’s side are falling apart and were defensively suspect throughout their 3-0 defeat to Croatia. They will need to be significantly better today and Lionel Messi may have to single-handedly drag them out of the mess. Nigeria know that they need to get on the scoresheet in order to qualify and Ahmed Musa will be keen on adding to his tally. Argentina have the star-quality in the side to find a way through ans this could be a very entertaining game. Both Teams to Score? Yes is 10/11 with Betfair. Their £100 bonus can be used to back a lively 90 minutes.
