World Cup betting tips for Group F where Germany are joined by Sweden, Mexico and South Korea. Germany will be widely expected to win this group but each of the remaining three sides will fancy their chances of reaching the round of 16. Mexico have qualified from the group stage in each of their last six World Cup appearances and will be looking to continue that magnificent record in 2018.
The holders were always going to start as short-price favourites in this section and they are available at 4/9 to finish top of Group F. Joachim Low’s side have been dealt a relatively kind draw and should be able to sail through without any slip-ups. The main questions is; Who will follow them into the knock-out round?
William Hill have a number of #YourOdds specials for Group F and many of them offer great value. The odds on Germany to finish top are fairly restrictive and they are priced at 2/9 to remain unbeaten during the group stage. They should be able to beat all three of the teams in this section with Sweden arguably their toughest opponent. The Swedes kept Italy off the score sheet over 180 minutes and also beat France during qualifying and could be the only side to stop Germany picking up a clean sweep. It’s 6/5 for Germany to collect over 6.5 group points and score over 6.5 group goals and this looks a great way of playing. It would allow them to pick up a draw against the Swedes and they should get plenty of enjoyment against the Mexican and South Korean defence. Germany to collect over 6.5 group points and score over 6.5 group goals is the first of our World Cup betting tips in Group F. The odds are 6/5 with William Hill.
Realistically, second spot looks like a straight shoot-out between Mexico and Sweden and the pair meet in the final Group F match on June 27th. It could be a nervy contest with defences coming out on top. Sweden have a watertight defence and Janne Andersson’s side are extremely well-drilled. They have a tremendous team spirit and without Zlatan, they are clearly a more cohesive unit. Mexico have plenty of attacking flair but their pre-tournament warm-up games have done little to inspire confidence and many fans are still not convinced by Juan Carlos Osorio. Diego Reyes’ absence is not ideal and they could struggle to break down the Scandinavian side during their crucial meeting. Sweden to Qualify is the second of our World Cup betting tips in Group F. They can be backed at 11/8 with Coral.
South Korea are the favourites to finish bottom of Group F and there is very little disputing the price. They are odds-on to be propping up this section at the end of June and it’s hard to see any other outcome. Sweden dispensed of Italy in the play-offs and are likely to be too strong at the back whilst Mexico always carry a threat. Korea will be relying on the brilliance of Son Heung-Min but he can’t do it alone and friendly results such as a 2-0 defeat to Senegal are hardly inspiring. South Korea to Finish Bottom of Group F is priced at 4/5 with 888Sport and that is the third of our World Cup betting tips in Group F.
