Belgium vs Bosnia-Herzegovina Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

Belgium vs Bosnia-Herzegovina betting tips and predictions for tonight’s World Cup 2018 qualifying with team news and head to head stats included in this preview.

Belgium host their biggest threat in their World Cup qualifying group this week. Can they repeat the victory they had over Bosnia a year ago? Roberto Martinez has had a pretty rough start as the manager of the Red Devils. The former Everton boss really needs a strong display from his new side.

Belgium vs Bosnia-Herzegovina Predictions

This summer showed that Belgium have a lot of attacking talent. Their problem was organisational. They needed someone to implement a system to make them solid at the back, and to stop their creative players getting in each other’s way. Why on earth they then appointed Roberto Martinez is a mystery. His reign at Everton ended in a mess, a side who over passed and couldn’t defend. The new coach was booed in his first game after a 2-0 defeat by Spain, in which the Belgians looked incredibly average. While they have strength going forward, we’re backing Bosnia to get past their leaky defence. Both teams to score is our first Belgium vs Bosnia-Herzegovina betting tip, at evens with Sky Bet.

Anytime Goalscorer Tips

One strength for Martinez is his former Everton charge, Romelu Lukaku. The forward’s recent strong run of form was kick started in the last international break. He hadn’t scored for Everton since March before putting two past Cyprus for his country. Now, the former Chelsea man has seven goals in his last five for club and country. He’s a player who tends to score in bursts, and we’re backing that to continue. He’s our pick for an any time goalscorer football betting tip tonight at 21/20 with Ladbrokes.

Belgium vs Bosnia-Herzegovina Team News

Just as water is wet and the Pope is catholic, Belgian pair Thomas Vermaelen and Vincent Kompany are currently injured. Belgium are also without Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne. Everton midfielder Muhamed Besic, who has yet to make an appearance this season, misses out for Bosnia.

Head to Head Stats

These two met in the qualifiers for the Euros, with Belgium taking four points from the two meetings. Their meeting in Brussels last year saw a 3-1 win for the Red Devils, as they edged towards qualification. All but one of their six meetings have seen both teams score.

Belgium v Bosnia-Herzegovina Betting Odds

Coral make the Belgians 2/5 favourites in this one. The Bosnians are 8/1 outsiders with Bet365, but they deserve a little more credit than they’re getting. They have a pretty strong squad, including a few well known Premier League stars. They can call upon Edin Dzeko up front, and new Juventus signing Miralem Pjanic in midfield. We think they’re good enough to take a point away from this clash, so as an extra World Cup qualifying betting tip, we’re tempted by the draw here at 15/4 with Betfair.
