Germany vs Saudi Arabia Predictions, Betting Tips and Preview

World Cup 2018 betting tips

Germany vs Saudi Arabia predictions and betting tips for the International Friendly on Friday night. We pick out three betting tips for the World Cup 2018 warm-up match which kicks off at 6:30pm.

Joachim Low’s side will be looking to bounce back from the disappointment of losing 2-1 to Austria. The World Cup holders blew a 1-0 lead to their near-neighbours and they are expected to make amends for that defeat when they host Saudi Arabia at the BayArena in Leverkusen. This is the final test before the tournament gets underway on June 14th and we are likely to see strong starting XIs from both sides. Saudi Arabia will be hoping to banish the memories of their 8-0 defeat to this opposition at the 2002 World Cup but suffered a setback against Peru with a 3-0 loss last week. Juan Antonio Pizzi will be hoping to guide his side through the murky waters of Group A and qualify for the knock-out rounds. Germany are in Group F and will be expected to finish top of their section with Mexico, Sweden and Korea Republic battling it out for second place.

Germany vs Saudi Arabia Betting Preview

It’s no surprise to see Germany priced up as the overwhelming favourites for this game and they can be backed at 1/14 with William Hill.

This is the perfect chance for them to end their winless run here on home soil. It’s 10/1 for the game to end all-square whilst Saudi Arabia can be backed at a HUGE 28/1.

The bookies are expecting plenty of goals in this game and Over 2.5 Goals is available at 1/3 with Ladbrokes. A far more palatable 5/6 is available on Over 3.5 Goals. Saudi Arabia aren’t known for their goalscoring prowess and Both Teams to Score? Yes can be backed at 23/10.

We are expecting a strong line-up from Germany and their XI is likely to be packed full of firepower. Sporting Bet have priced Timo Werner up as the 5/2 favourite in the first goalscorer market and he is closely followed by Mario Gomez (11/4) and the effervescent Thomas Muller, who is available at 3/1 to open the scoring.

Germany vs Saudi Arabia Predictions

This should be fairly routine for the World Champions and they are unlikely to lose back-to-back games going into a major tournament. Joachim Low’s side are expected to bag a few goals in this tie and whilst we are unlikely to see a repeat of the 8-0 scoreline, they should find a way through the Saudi Arabian defence reasonably easily. The visitors lost 3-0 to Peru earlier in the week and lost 4-0 in Belgium at the end of March. A similar result is likely here. The first of our Germany vs Saudi Arabia predictions is Germany to Win and Over 3.5 Goals which can be backed at 17/20 with Ladbrokes. Use their £50 free bet to back German dominance in this tie.

There are a number of possible correct scores in this game with all of the bookies expecting a German whitewash. Belgium struggled to break-down Portugal last week but still managed to fire four past Saudi Arabia which shows their back-line is far from secure. Germany shouldn’t have any problem bagging four here. Saudi Arabia have lost five of their last six friendlies away from home and they failed to net in three of them. The second of our Germany vs Saudi Arabia betting tips is 4-0 Germany Correct Score and can be backed 6/1 with Betfair. Use Betfair’s £100 in free bets to wager on the correct score market in this game.

Mesut Ozil seems to relish playing for Germany and the Arsenal play-maker found the net against Austria last week. The team revolves around his creativity but he also had an eye for goal and he is a decent price to find the net inside 90 minutes here. Mesut Ozil to score anytime is the third of our Germany vs Saudi Arabia betting predictions and is available at 6/4 with Unibet. Use their £30 risk-free bet to back Ozil in this fixture. They will give you a full refund if he fails to find the back of the net.
