Today’s World Cup Betting Tips for Monday 25th June

World Cup betting tips

The 2018 World Cup continues on Monday with four matches taking place throughout the day. Groups A and B conclude with a number of sides jostling for position at the top of the table. We’ve picked out today’s best World Cup betting tips.

Today’s World Cup Fixtures

Saudi Arabia vs Egypt – (Group A) – 3pm – Volgograd Arena

Uruguay vs Russia – (Group A) – 3pm – Cosmos Arena, Samara

Iran vs Portugal – (Group B) – 7pm – Mordovia Arena

Spain vs Morocco – (Group B) – 7pm – Kaliningrad Stadium

Saudi Arabia vs Egypt Prediction

There aren’t going to be too many dead rubbers at the 2018 World Cup but Saudi Arabia vs Egypt will be played out as requirement in Volgograd. Saudi Arabia were better against Uruguay and only conceded a single goal but they are yet to trouble the scoresheet in Russia and they will not want to complete yet another tournament without finding the net. Egypt were unlucky to lose their opening fixture and competed admirably for 45 minutes against Russia but the Pharaohs are heading home early. Neither side have been prolific in the final third with Egypt’s only goal coming from the penalty spot. This doesn’t seem likely to be a classic and both sides are likely to waste opportunities. Mo Salah is likely to provide some much needed quality but it is still likely to be short of goals. Under 2.5 Goals can be backed at 3/4 with Bet Victor and you can use their free £40 bet to back a low-scoring 90 minutes.

Uruguay vs Russia Prediction

Anyone who has had the misfortune of watching Uruguay‘s previous 180 minutes of tournament football will know that they aren’t an exciting, expansive, adventurous team. Oscar Tabarez’s side have the habit of doing the bare minimum and they don’t need to win this game. They are already guaranteed their place in the next round and their goal difference means that they are likely to finish second in Group A. Russia have hit eight goals in their opening two matches and they look full of confidence. Most pundits had written them off prior to the tournament but they look good going forward and they’ll be determined to end on a high. The South American side got a little lucky against both Saudi Arabia and Egypt and they may come unstuck here. Russia don’t need to win this tie but the home fans will be expecting a decent performance and they should be backed on the Draw No Bet market. Russia Draw No Bet can be backed at Evens with Paddy Power and you can use their £20 free bet to support the hosts.

Iran vs Portugal Prediction

Iran are still in with a chance of qualifying for the knock-out round and whatever happens in this contest, Carlos Queiroz’s men can leave the tournament with their heads held high. They have conducted themselves well and have put up a good fight in every single match so far. They end their Group B campaign against Portugal at Euro 2020 and they have a chance of causing an upset. They restricted Spain’s opportunities and were undone by a deflection and a VAR-decision which didn’t go their way. Fernando Santos’ side aren’t enjoyable to watch and their over-reliance on Cristiano Ronaldo is a worrying state of affairs for Portuguese fans. He netted a fourth minute header against Morocco and they barely created anything of note afterwards. They will need to be much better here and the mobility of their defence is a constant issue. They may find their chances restricted by an industrious opponent and backing the game to be all-square at the break looks a sensible way of playing. Half Time – Draw is available at 21/20 with Betfred and you can bet on this game using their generous £30 free bet.

Spain vs Morocco Prediction

Morocco are the only side in Group B who cannot qualify for the knock-out round. Herve Renard’s men have been extremely unlucky as they’ve create a number of chances but spurned every single one of them. They will hope to end on a high but face arguably their toughest fixture in this section. Spain made hard work of their 1-0 victory over Iran but they always looked capable of moving up a gear if required. They will want to seal three points here and finish top of Group B ahead of neighbours Portugal. They have a number of talented players and will look to dictate play. This should be an aesthetically pleasing 90 minutes between two sides who like to pass the ball. Spain should win but there isn’t much value to be found. There is plenty of competition for the Golden Boot in Russia and Diego Costa is in the mix. He is Spain’s greatest threat and should be able to add to his tally in this game. Diego Costa Anytime Goalscorer is priced at 24/23 with 888Sport and you can use their £30 free bet to back the Atletico frontman.
