World Cup betting tips

The 2018 World Cup continues on Sunday with three matches taking place throughout the day. Groups G and H continue with a number of potentially decisive outcomes possible. We’ve picked out today’s best World Cup betting tips.

Today’s World Cup Fixtures

England vs Panama – (Group G) – 1pm – Nizhny Novgorod

Japan vs Senegal – (Group H) – 4pm – Yekaterinburg

Poland vs Colombia – (Group H) – 7pm – Kazan Arena

England vs Panama Prediction

England got off to the perfect start but they left it late. Harry Kane’s double secured them three points against Tunisia and they will be expected to collect three points in this tie. There is a feel-good factor surrounding Gareth Southgate’s squad and they could potentially ensure their position in the round of 16 with a victory here. Panama suffered a 3-0 at the hands of Belgium but they competed admirably for the first 45 minutes. They don’t have much potency but they collectively dig in and this is unlikely to be a complete whitewash. The World Cup debutantes will be dreaming of collecting their first ever point at the tournament but they might have to wait a bit longer for that dream to become a reality. The Three Lions are a short price to win this game and they will want to get off to a fast start. They netted after just four minutes against Tunisia and they should be able to assert their dominance in the first 45. England/England on the HT/FT market looks a good option in this game and it’s priced at 5/6 with Ladbrokes. You can use their £50 free bet to back Southgate’s men.

Japan vs Senegal Prediction

Group H is one of the trickiest sections to predict and there were two upsets during the first round of fixtures. Japan benefited from Colombia’s lack of discipline and took advantage of their tiring opponents, winning 2-1. The Blue Samurai don’t look particularly potent and they aren’t predicted to progress far in this tournament. Shinji Kagawa enjoyed plenty of possession in that first tie and they’ll be taking the same approach today. Senegal were excellent in their first Group H game. They outpaced and outclassed Poland and also won by a 2-1 scoreline. Their defence kept the Polish attack quiet for the majority of the 90 minutes and should be able to prevent Japan from getting any clear-cut opportunities. They have a decent forward line and will continue to use the width of the pitch to their advantage. They were the only African side to win their first group game and it’s difficult to write them off. Led by 2002-hero Aliou Cisse, they can pick up another three points here. Senegal can be backed at 5/4 with 888Sport and you can use their £30 free bet to support the Lions of Teranga.

Poland vs Colombia Prediction

Both of these sides got off to poor starts in Group H. Poland were woeful against Senegal and left Robert Lewandowski isolated up front. They didn’t play with any urgency or fluency and that is a huge worry for Adam Nawalka. They didn’t win many games coming into the tournament and something is not right. Colombia went down to ten men after just four minutes against Japan and fought their way back into the game before being overrun in midfield. Their was visible fatigue amongst the players in the second half and they should strip fitter with 11 men on the field. Poland conceded two horrible goals both of which could have been prevented and their defensive lapses have become a regular occurrence. They looked very poor in their opener and it’s hard to have any confidence in them here. Colombia look a sensible bet here. Los Cafeteros are available at 6/5 with Betfred and you can use their £30 free bet to back Colombia.
