Today’s World Cup Betting Tips for Thursday 28th June

World Cup 2018 betting tips

The 2018 World Cup continues on Thursday with four matches taking place throughout the day. Groups G and H conclude today which brings an end to the group stage of the tournament. We’ve picked out today’s best World Cup betting tips.

Today’s World Cup Fixtures

Japan vs Poland – (Group H) – 3pm – Volgograd Arena

Senegal vs Colombia – (Group H) – 3pm – Cosmos Arena, Samara

England vs Belgium – (Group G) – 7pm – Kaliningrad Stadium

Panama vs Tunisia – (Group G) – 7pm – Mordovia Arena

Japan vs Poland Prediction

Japan have put themselves in contention to qualify for the knock-out round of the tournament. The Blue Samurai have not been particular impressive but they fought back from 2-1 down against Senegal and made their extra man count against Colombia. Akira Hishino’s men are relatively well-organised and they possess a threat in the final third. A point in this game should be enough to secure their place in the last 16 and they face a side who are licking their wounds. Poland have been awful so far and are deservedly heading home. Adam Nawalka’s side have defended poorly and have been punished for it. They’ve failed to make the most of having one of Europe’s deadliest strikers and have a goal difference of -4. They aren’t likely to improve for this game. Japan are available at 6/4 with Betfred and they look a decent option in this Group H encounter. You can use their free £30 bet to back them.

Senegal vs Colombia Prediction

Senegal have been tremendously entertaining in Group H so far. They’ve netted four goals and conceded three and have played with power, pace and precision. They face their toughest task of the tournament against Colombia on June 28th. Los Cafeteros have recovered from a terrible start and have given themselves a fighting chance of qualifying. They need to win this game in order to continue their participation at the tournament and they stand a decent chance of doing so. They were excellent against Poland, scoring three times and looking dangerous every time they broke forward. They have the likes of Radamel Falcao, James Rodriguez and Juan Cuadrado in their squad and can cause plenty of problems in this game. Jose Pekerman’s side should be able to net a couple here and Senegal should also play their part. Over 2.5 Goals looks a likely outcome and can be backed at Evens with William Hill. They have a £30 free bet and Bet Boosts available on every game at the 2018 World Cup.

England vs Belgium Prediction

The standout Group G game has nothing riding on it as both England and Belgium have already secured their qualification for the next round. The Three Lions were excellent against Panama, hitting six goals, five of which came in the first half. Gareth Southgate is likely to stick with a similar line-up as his side aim for top spot whilst Roberto Martinez is rumoured to be considering a few changes. Belgium stuck five past Tunisia yet still managed to concede two goals and their defensive cannot be trusted. With the pressure off both of these sides, it should be an entertaining free-flowing contest with plenty of chances at both ends. Belgium kept a clean sheet against Panama but England are yet to register a shutout in the competition. They looked dangerous every time they moved forward against Panama and they offer a significant threat from set-pieces. Both Teams to Score is available at 5/6 with Ladbrokes and they have a free £50 bet to use on this game.

Panama vs Tunisia Prediction

Both of these teams are heading home after failing to pick up a point in their opening couple of matches and they have nothing to play for in this tie. Panama scored their first-ever World Cup goal against England and they’ll be keen to add a second. Tunisia have netted three times at the tournament but they’ve conceded plenty of goals along the way. The North African side will want to end on a high and pick up their first World Cup success since 1978. They almost picked up a point against England and they’ll believe that they can collect three here. Panama will be roared on by their travelling fans but they have a couple of players missing for this game after picking up yellow cards in their previous two encounters. Armando Cooper is one of the players who will be forced to sit out of this final Group G match. Back Tunisia to Win at 7/9 with 888Sport. You can use their free £30 bet to back a Tunisian victory.
