Group E Betting Tips:

France are favourites in the latest World Cup 2014 odds to win the group and their 4-0 victory over Norway strengthened them at the top of the market. They have a qualify spine in Lloris, Varane, Pogba, Ribery and Benzema and Giroud helped himself to two goals in their recent friendly. France have a favourable draw and the problems of the 2010 World Cup look behind them. Swtizerland don’t score many goals and will set up defensively but were brilliant in qualifying for the World Cup, going unbeaten and keeping seven clean sheets in their ten matches. They have only lost four of 29 competitive matches.

Ecuador come next and are notorious bad travellers which is a concern for their World Cup 2014 campaign. They only scored 20 goals in 16 matches during qualifying and have only won seven competative matches in four years, the opener against Switzerland in World Cup Group E is crucial to their chances. Honduras are the outsiders of the group but will go to Brazil to try and attack teams. This came to haunt them in a 5-0 defeat to Brazil where they were easily picked off. Under 1.5 goals is the best World Cup betting tip to be had on Honduras at odds of 13/10.

Group F Betting Tips:

Argentina are the team to beat in Group F and they are also our outright World Cup 2014 tip to win the tournament. They have a soft group, an easy travelling schedule and the best attacking line-up in Brazil with Messi, Aguero and Higuain set to lead the line. Their recent World Cup history is not good though, failing to reach the semi-finals since 1990 and losing in three of the last four World Cups at the quarter final stage. Messi is now playing his best for Argentina and has 18 goals in his last 17 appearances but their left back is a real problem. 7/2 to be top World Cup goalscorers looks the best football betting tip here. Bosnia Herzegovina are the only debutants at the World Cup and won eight from 10 qualifiers. They are slow in defence and don’t have a defensive midfielder but their two strikers are a class act and will score goals. They have enough to make it to the last 16 but we are predicting they will go out in the last 16 at 23/20 with Sportingbet.

Nigeria have only picked up two points in their last two World Cups and despite having a weak qualifying group they struggled. All six of their matches went under 2.5 goals. Despite not being totally confident a bet on them to qualify at 23/20 looks the best price here if you want a World Cup bet on Nigeria. Finally Iran make up Group F and they will be hard to break down. They kept six clean sheets in eight World Cup qualifying matches and are the top ranked Asian team at the World Cup. Under 1.5 points is the best World Cup prediction for Iran at odds of 4/5.
