World Cup Accumulator Tip:

Spain to win Group B

The current World and European Champions are being under estimated for the 2014 World Cup but their experience in this format will once again come to the fore and they should be the winners of Group B. Their opponents in Group B are Netherlands, Chile and Australia and although it isn’t the easiest of groups on paper, we expect Spain to progress as winners. Netherlands flopped at Euro 2012 and their poor defence will once again be their downfall. Chile are another side who are flamboyant in attack and rely heavily on Alexis Sanchez and Eduardo Vargas while Australia’s chances will rest largely on Tim Cahill.

Columbia to win Group C

The fitness of Falcao will be key to Columbia’s chances at the 2014 World Cup this summer and they will be right at home in the Brazilian climate. Columbia only lost four times in 16 South American World Cup qualifying matches, finishing second behind Argentina and the frontline of Falcao and Jackson Martinez, coupled with James Rodriguez should be enough to fire them to the top of Group C ahead of Ivory Coast, Japan and Greece.

The Ivory Coast look Columbia’s main danger in stopping the South American side toping the group but their heavy reliance on an ageing Didier Drogba could ultimately see them struggle so take the World Cup 2014 betting odds of 10/11 for Columbia to win Group C.

Belgium to win Group H

Belgium have been touted as the best outside bet of the 2014 World Cup and they look set to top Group H in what should realistically be a shootout between themselves and Russia. The talents of Edin Hazard, Dries Mertens, Vincent Kompany and Axel Witsel amongst many others should see Belgium light up Group H. They went unbeaten in ten World Cup 2014 qualifying matches, dropping just four points. Russia are worthy challengers to Belgium but crashed out of Euro 2012 in the group stages following a shock 1-0 defeat to Greece and could suffer the same fate with arguably a weaker squad this time around.
