World Cup 2018 Football Predictions Group H – Poland
Poland haven’t exactly excelled when it comes to asserting their cause on the international scene in recent years. Whilst they have always possessed a series of decent players at their disposal, Poland’s overall lack of all-round quality has seemingly served to haunt them.
Now however, with Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski triumphantly leading the line for his proud national outfit, Polish expectations have never been higher. Will Adam Nawalka’s squad turn a few decisive heads at the 2018 World Cup, or does another underwhelming international campaign await them this summer?
Will Poland qualify from World Cup Group H?
Poland stand every chance of sealing successful qualification from Group H this summer, but only if they arrive in Russia at the very top of their game. Should they ultimately fail to deliver upon their growing potential, the likes of Colombia, Senegal and even Japan could potentially wipe them aside.
Group H remains an interesting ensemble of national outfits with an ultimate outcome that is seemingly hard to predict. If Poland can nonetheless take advantage of their star striker’s exploits across their opening group-stage encounters however, a place among the knock-out rounds of the competition possibly awaits.
Who will be Poland’s star man at the World Cup?
It is impossible to look past Robert Lewandowski when considering Poland’s most likely star performer at the 2018 World Cup. Whilst each of Lukasz Fabianski, Bartosz Kapustka and Piotr Zielinski could theoretically impress in Russia, Poland’s star striker obviously remains their most recognised asset.
Lewandowski has proven a complete goal scoring machine in qualifying for the 2018 World Cup. There is seemingly very little he is unable to achieve in front of goal for both club and country, highlighting the 29-year-old forward as one of Bayern Munich’s very best strikers in recent years.
Although the rest of his Polish compatriots arguably fail to compare when held up alongside the former Borussia Dortmund frontman, Robert Lewandowski is nonetheless expected to continue his fine form in Russia this summer.
World Cup betting tips expect Lewandowski to finish as Poland’s leading goal-scorer throughout their entire tournament campaign, and quite rightly too, for Adam Nawalka’s team seemingly play host to one of the most impressive players in the whole of world football right about now.
What are Poland’s Group H fixtures?
Senegal – Despite Poland’s growing enthusiasm in preparation for the 2018 World Cup, their opening Group H encounter could potentially see them clutching at straws when all is said and done. Senegal possess deadly pace on the counter-attack, something that could certainly serve to frustrate Poland’s somewhat imobile back-line.
Colombia – Whilst Poland are expecting to see some strong form from their side among this summer’s upcoming competition, another tricky fixture seems to await them in their second Group H face-off. Colombia possess the stronger side on paper, with more than enough star quality in their ranks to prove victorious.
Japan – This is a game in which Poland should be looking to claim all the spoils. They have more than enough firepower to worry the Japanese back-line, whilst also possessing the required defensive organisation to remain tight and resolute at the back. This particular fixture could see Poland claim their place among the knock-out stages of the competition, but only if they are clinical.
Poland’s World Cup Tips and Predictions
Adam Nawalka’s team have it in them to claim all three points from both Senegal and Japan this summer. Whilst Colombia will likely prove too much for this current squad of players to handle, a place among the second round arguably has Poland’s name written all over it.
From there however, it remains somewhat difficult to envisage Poland progressing any further. This team have been flirting with progress on the international scene for many years now, yet the 2018 World Cup may ultimately end in mild disappointment with so many world class outfits all vying for the trophy.
