Winning pointer Anyharminasking positively laughed at the opposition when opening his account under Rules at Catterick earlier this month; although 13lb higher in the weights in a better race here, he may be capable of following up. The Getaway gelding shouldn’t be inconvenienced by slightly faster underfoot conditions and remains open to significant inprovement.

Bethedifference has officially improved by 18lb since November, but has twice run creditably off his revised mark in recent weeks and may not have finished winning yet. He appears to handle the prevailing ‘good’ going well enough and dropping back in distance should do his chances no harm.

Fontwell: 2:50 Virgin Bet Maiden Hurdle 2m3f

The stoutly bred winning pointer Ballycamus made a satisfactory, if unspectacular, debut under Rules when fourth in a ‘bumper’ at Southwell in early January. The son of Presenting may well prove better suited by further in due course, but has winning point-to-point form on the ground and can make a winning hurdling debut for a yard that traditionally does well at Fontwell.

A point-to-point winner as a 5-year-old, Tip Top Mountain was barely sighted, at huge odds, in his three runs over hurdles last season. However, he has won two of his four starts, albeit at a fairly modest level, since sent over regulation fences in October and may be up to defying a 6lb rise in the weights.
