Horse Racing Tips: FIVE Best Bets for Friday’s Racing at Exeter, Sandown & Sedgefield

There is a great afternoon on jump racing to look forward to on Friday 3 December, with action coming Exeter, Sandown, and Sedgefield.
We have cast our eye over each race from these meetings and highlighted our five best bets of the day below.

Sandown – 13:15
The Harry Fry trained, Forever Blessed, goes in this Class 2 Juvenile Hurdle over 2m and looked a useful prospect when recording an 11-length win at Ffos Las in a similar event at the end of October. That was his racecourse debut and his first time over hurdles. Although penalised 5lb for that success, this son of Zoffany can go in again with Sean Bowen in the saddle.
Selection: Forever Blessed (8/13 with Paddy Power)
Exeter – 14:05
Another Harry Fry trained runner, Boothill, gets the vote in this Class 3 Handicap Chase over 2m3f. The trainer has recently stated he has ‘high hopes’ for him and he has shown plenty of promise during a lightly raced rules career. He returned from a 10-month break to finish third of 14 at Ascot at the end of October over hurdles, but he makes his debut over fences today and will be guided round by the excellent Sam Twiston-Davies in the saddle.
Selection: Boothill (6/5 with Paddy Power)
Exeter – 14:40
The Olly Murphy yard is in excellent form, and they can get another one back in the winners’ enclosure with Gunsight Ridge in this Class 3 Handicap Chase over 2m3f. The selection returned from an eight-month break to finish third of eight on his chase debut at Aintree, keeping on strongly over that 2m distance. This step up in trip looks a bonus, as does having Aidan Coleman in the saddle.
Selection: Gunsight Ridge (5/2 with Paddy Power)
Exeter – 15:15
Seventeen are due to go to post in this competitive 3m6½f, Class 3 Chase. The each-way selection is Young Offender from the Stuart Edmunds yard. After a season over hurdles, he returned to make his chase debut at Chepstow five weeks ago and looked a completely different proposition over fences when winning in impressive fashion. He shaped as if this longer trip will bring further improvement and he can make it 2-2 under the ride of Ciaran Gethings.
Selection: Young Offender (11/2 with Paddy Power)
Sedgefield – 15:25
Although Stroll On By could go off as favourite, the Nicky Richards trained Summergrounds, gets the vote. He returns from a 212-day break after finishing an encouraging second at Kelso on his debut. He will have learned a lot from that race and the form is already looking solid. Danny McMenamin takes the ride.
Selection: Summergrounds (11/4 with William Hill)
