Hexham – 12:50

Our first each way selection is Cudgel, who goes in this Class 5 Handicap Chase over 3m for trainer, James Walton. Although he finished behind Real Armani on each of his last three starts of last term over C&D, he has a good chance of gaining revenge on these terms. He returns from a 233-day break and his record when fresh is another positive. Conor O’Farrell takes the ride.

Selection: Cudgel (9/2 with William Hill)

Lingfield – 14:00

Ten Past Midnight goes for a four-timer in this Class 4 Handicap Hurdle over 2m but is likely to go off as second-favourite behind Naturally High. However, the selection has been in impressive form this season, and completed his hat-trick at Southwell two weeks ago. He can continue his progress for the Martin Keighley yard, despite another 4lb rise. James Best is on board.

Selection: Ten Past Midnight (7/2 with William Hill)

Lingfield – 14:30

The Venetia Williams trained, Grand Turina, goes in this Class 3 Handicap Chase over 2m4f. She would have finished a clear second at Wetherby last month on her return had she not unseated Ned Fox at the second last fence. He is back on board today and the each-way selection could take plenty of stopping as she goes off the same mark here.

Selection: Grand Turina (4/1 with William Hill)

Hexham – 14:50

The Martin Todhunter trained, Southeast Rose, looked below par on both her starts since winning over C&D in November 2020. But she shaped as if she needed her reappearance run last month when finishing sixth of 13 here. Her mark has now dipped below her winning one and she should be in the mix in this Class 5 Handicap Chase over 1m7½f. Sean Quinlan is in the saddle.

Selection: Southeast Rose (15/2 with William Hill)
