Horse Racing Tips: Four Fancies for Stratford, Lingfield, Ffos Las & Chelmsford on Thursday
The Fleur De Lys Fillies’ Stakes (3:23) at Lingfield is the most valuable race of the day on Thursday.
We have a strong fancy in the feature race and three more elsewhere.

Romanor is 1lb better off for a neck with Maka Paka on their running in similar race over course and distance 12 days ago and must have every chance of reversing the form. Seamus Mullins’ 7-year-old, who started favourite on that occasion, wasn’t helped by a less-than-fluent jump at the final fence, or having to be switched in the closing stages, so may prove better than the bare bones of the form.
Selection: Romanor (9/2 with William Hill)
Lingfield: 3:23 Coral EBF Fleur De Lys Fillies’ Stakes 1m
Maamora is winless in five starts this season, but is, jointly, the highest-rated filly in this field and can make her class count. The daughter of Dubawi is 1-2 on Polytrack and ran well, under today’s jockey, James Doyle, when runner-up at Newmarket last month. That form gives her the measure of Dubai Love, who weakened from over a furlong out to finish seventh, and she can open her account for the season.
Selection: Maamora (11/4 with William Hill)
Ffos Las: 3:40 Star Sports Bet Owners Club Guarantee Handicap Hurdle 2m4f
Bembridge must overcome an 171-day absence and a 10lb rise in the weights if he is to follow up his course and distance win, in this grade, in May. However, there was much to like about the way he dispatched subsequent dual winner Beau Haze on that occasion and he looks worth chancing. Trainer Oliver Sherwood has a 4-12 (33%) strike rate with his hurdlers at the West Wales course over the last five seasons.
Selection: Bembridge (11/4 with William Hill)
Chelmsford: 7:30 tote.co.uk Free Streaming Every UK Race Handicap 7f
Frankly, none of these is entirely convincing, but Letmelivemylife is 2-3 over 7 furlongs, including here, and looks far from impossibly handicapped. The Oasis Dream gelding was never on terms when only sixth of nine over 6 furlongs here three weeks ago, on his return to action following a gelding operation, but stepping back up in distance may prove to be the key to him.
Selection: Letmelivemylife (5/1 with William Hill)
