Southwell: 2:50 Betway Handicap 5f

Airshow appeared to be beaten fair and square on her hat-trick attempt, over 6 furlongs here, but that form looks plenty strong enough and he has dropped 2lb in the weights since. The Showcasing gelding has yet to win over the minimum trip on Tapeta, but has done so on Fibresand and on turf, so dropping back a furlong should do him no harm.

Selection: Airshow (13/2 with William Hill)

Southwell: 4:20 MansionBet Proud Partners Of The AWC Conditions Stakes 1m

Tempus returned from a 435-day break to win a small conditions race at Newcastle six weeks ago and, provided he can avoid the dreaded ‘bounce’ factor, can reasonably be expected to improve on his second start for Archie Watson. Officially, he has 5lb to find with topweight My Oberon, but may hold a fitness advantage on this occasion.

Selection: Tempus (6/1 with William Hill)

Exeter: 3:30 Pertemps Network Handicap Hurdle 2m7f

Coeur Serein returns to hurdles after three winless runs over fences, but looked an unlucky loser when falling at the final fence on the first occasion and is by no means impossibly handicapped. A winner over 3 miles 1 furlong at Huntingdon last summer, off a 3lb lower mark, he remains lightly-raced for an 8-year-old and may be capable of better yet.

Selection: Coeur Serein (5/1 with William Hill)

Exeter 4:00 Virgin Bet Mares’ Chase 3m

The sound jumping Snow Leopardess was ultimately all out to win the Becher Chase over the Grand National fences when last seen in December, but had looked like winning from a long way out. A 5lb rise in the weights clearly makes life more difficult for her, but dropping back in distance should prove no hindrance and she can complete a hat-trick.

Selection: Snow Leopardess (2/1 with William Hill)
