Tuesday Racing Tips: Nap Selections for Southwell, Sedgefield & Wolverhampton

The unseasonably mild, dry spell continues, leading to good going at both Jumps meetings on Tuesday.

A promising, but unexposed, 4/1 chance was the first one to catch our eye at Southwell, but we have strong fancies at Sedgefield and Wolverhampton too.

Lemon T won a 0-100 contest over course and distance, off a 4lb lower mark, in May and again ran well on his return to action, following wind surgery, at Kelso last month. The Sulamani gelding should strip fitter this time and remains unexposed as an out-and-out stayer, so may be capable of better yet. He has won on soft and good to soft going, but seems equally at home on faster ground.

Sedgefield: 1:10 Bet 10 Get 20 With MansionBet Handicap Chase 3m2f202y

Winning pointer Kaphumor opened his account over regulation fences at the first time of asking for Sue Smith at Hexham earlier this month and may be able to defy a 10lb rise in the weights. He has an extra three furlongs to travel, on slightly faster ground, this time, but was visually quite impressive at Hexham. Still only a 5-year-old, he has plenty of scope for improvement for a yard that has had more chase winners at Sedgefield than anywhere else in the last five seasons.

Wolverhampton: 6:00 Betway Handicap 5f

At first glance, Mondammej has the look of an ‘all-or-nothing’ type but, granted his optimum conditions, is actually quite consistent. He is just 1lb higher in the weights than when winning a similar race over course and distance last month, so must have every chance of following up. He has, however, developed a habit of getting up to win in the final strides, so hold on to your hats!
