Horse Racing Betting Tips for the Evening Card at Salisbury
This evening we have a big card at Salisbury to get stuck into and Kyle has picked out a bet from each of the nine races. After a busy day at Ascot and Newmarket, the evening card provides another chance to get some more winning betting tips.
Before we look through the tips, I’d recommend a Coral account to anybody who hasn’t signed up yet because once you register and bet £10, you will get 3 free £10 bets to spend on the rest of your bets tonight.
Starting with the 16.35 in the Join Racing TV Now Handicap and I like the look of FASHIONESQUE who is 1 from 1 this year when winning at Windsor 25 days ago. This is a fairly open race and Rewaayat will be the main danger here after winning an eight runner handicap at Lingfield on the AW 14 days ago. He was helped that day but he has claims here. Handytalk is a C&D here and merits respect after getting a much needed run at Bath 16 days ago where he was 5th from 10th. Little Palaver is another C&D winner who is 1 win from 2 runs after winning a handicap at Kempton 10 days ago by a nose beating Barrington. But others are preferred. So my pick here is FASHONESQUE to nab the win.
Next up we have the 17.05 EBF Stallions Novice Stakes (Plus 10) (Class 5) and LOST IN SPACE made a promising start on his debut when 4th of 8 at Yarmouth over 6f. But he will be one to improve and distance won’t be an issue. Certainly, one to watch in the market betting as he was weak last time at 8/1. Fountain Cross is penalized after a second and a win last time out at Haydock over 6f 16 days ago but is still one to watch for. First Prophet is a winner at Newbury this season but probably ran again too early when last of 8 at Ascot 23 days ago only 6 days after his first run. But this is a drop-in class so he can go well here. Dillydingdillydong is making his debut for trainer Richard Hannon here and has a good pedigree as he is distantly related to Arctic Gyr and Festivale so they have appeal on paper. Same with Auriferous for Andrew Balding as she is a Golden Horn mare and half sister to Albert Hall. This is another race that will be highly contested.
Next up we have the Visit racingtv.com Fillies’ Novice Stakes (Plus 10/GBB Race) .
My tip for this race is CIRRUS trained by Richard Hannon ridden by Rossa Ryan. She was second on her debut at Newmarket and may have been rushed into a big race when 12th of 13 at Royal Ascot in the Group 3 Albany Stakes. So this run can be excused. This is far less demanding so she is certainly one to watch out for. Mariance also ran in this race when 8 of 13 in the Albany Stakes, another who should improve and be in the mix for Martin Dwyer on board.
The Pick of the debutants is many people’s weekend diet Whiskey ‘n’ Chips for trainer Clive Cox and Hector Crouch. She is a Dark Angel filly and half-sister to 3 winners, one of them being Desert Haze. This yard is going well just now so certainly can’t be discounted. Soft Whisper is another who has claims on paper with a good pedigree as she is half-sister to Policy Maker and one to keep an eye on.

Next up we have Every Race Live On Racing TV Novice Stakes (Div 1).
John Gosden has an Interesting run in AMERICAN ENTENTE who is sister to 2 winners one of them being Air Force Blue who is a classy horse. He is highly respected on his debut and is wearing a tongue strap. He has a lot to like on paper and this distance should be in the mix. Tinker Toy is another from War Front just like AMERICAN ENTENTE but is a well-bred debutant from a top stable for Roger Varian with Jack Mitchell on board. He has a group 1 winning relation and is one to watch in the market. With Promise should have more to show for his new trainer W Knight after he won on his debut at Yarmouth last August for David Lanigan. But he will have a lot to show with that amount of time off. My Pick is AMERICAN ENTENTE(NB)
My selection in the Every Race Live On Racing TV Novice Stakes (Div 2) (class 5) (3Yo Plus) is BAASHIR(NAB) for trainer Charlie Hills and jockey Martin Dwyer. He is a promising horse who was second of 11 in a novice at Haydock over 7f 32 days ago. He finished strongly only beaten by a neck by Newbolt. With the drop in trip, I feel he is the one to beat here. Anjah will look to go well after two good results in All-weather starts but they were six months apart. But did look good at Lingfield. Desert Destination is one to look out for as a debutant who is half brothers to 3 winners including blue point and Formosina, he is a very interesting runner and will be one to keep tabs on.
MOURIYANI has done well since joining the Tom Ward Yard when he made it 3 wins from 4 runs when winning last time out at Goodwood 27 days ago. He has a 5lb rise which will demand more from him but I would discount him. High Commissioner is an 8 run maiden who has some form but he is a front runner and this is his first runner over 1 and a half so comes with its doubts as stamina will be tested. Dono di Dio is down in the weight to 9st 2lb and looked well when 4th of 10 in a handicap at Kempton over 2m and is down below last winning mark and is being dropped down in trip and merits respect. Thaqaffa will look to take advantage of the mark he is given of 8st 13lbs for Miss Amy Murphy.
My pick for this race is ARRIVISTE trained by Rae Guest who was a winner at Chelmsford City last December, beating True Believer by 2L. She is making her handicap debut and is very much the type to improve and progress here. Woodhouse should have shown more at Doncaster in a handicap here 27 days ago when 5th of 11. She has shown signs of greenness and should relish the extra furlongs and should have overcome the inexperience. Award Scheme one of the horses of the Queen Mother is looking for her first success as she is a three raced maiden, she has more to show and can show that handicapping and is up in trip and should be one to watch.

My second last selection is running in the Watch Race Replays At racingtv.com Handicap (class 6) (4Yo Plus).
BAD ATTITUDE has 1 win from 3 races this year when winning at Chelmsford City staying on well back in March. He has been off for a while but certainly is one to watch in the betting as he enjoyed the drop in distance and he could kick on from that. By Love is one from one this year and is another who can challenge here. Rare Glam is stepping back in trip after she was unsuited by the step down to 1m but has placed in the last two runs, so she will be one to check in the market tomorrow.
My last selection is running in the Get Daily Tips racingtv.com Handicap (class 5) (4Yo Plus).
My tip is a horse who has dropped down to a workable mark and is dropped in class. The Horse in question is STARFIGHTER, who is a course winner here and has been hard to follow but with the drop in class, he can be given a chance here, and currently 11/1 he is a good each-way bet. Golden Wolf won last time out at Newmarket over 1m 2f on soft ground last month so with a mark of 9st, he is back up in trip here and can’t be discounted. Broad Appeal is another who goes back up in trip after winning last time in an 11 runner race at Windsor and with jockey Tyler Saunders claiming 5lbs, he is another expected to go well.
