13.05 Fontwell

My First selection of the day comes in the 13.50 race at Fontwell which is the Sky Sports Racing HD Virgin 535 Novice Handicap Chase over 3m 1f 210y and I like the look of GLENGAR for trainer Neil Mulholland and Jockey Robert Dunne. He has taken well to fences since the restart of racing when winning over 3m at Southwell back in July and then following up with a good third when carrying a 7lb penalty for the previous success. He was unlucky when unseating replacement jockey Millie Wonnacott last Friday at the First at Newton Abbot. With Dunne back on board he remains an interest and I feel he can feature here. Hattaab is stepping down in class and is making his chase debut under a massive weight of 12st 3lbs but is 1 win from 28 runs. Seaside Girl and Favori De Sivola are both attempting to break their maidens on the 4th time of asking.

14.05 Curragh

Next up we have the Kilcarn Stud Flame Of Tara Irish European Breeders Fund Stakes over 1m and with the incredible record trainer Aiden O’Brien has in this race, winning the last seven of the last nine renewals, I am edging with BRAZIL to win this for O’Brien. He is looking to break his maiden and should have done better when last seen at Tipperary 21 days ago. He did look impressive on debut but is blinkered for the first time and with the conditions on the track, this should bring stamina into place for the 2-year-old brother of Capri. He remains capable of better and I feel can be a leading contender for this contest. His main rival will be Colour Sergeant for Ger Lyons and Jockey Colin Keane. This 2-year-old is a promising type who was unlucky not to win over C&D here 19 days ago. He sets the standard and should stay 1m. Flying Visit will look to run a big race for his connections after placing here over C&D 6 days ago.

15.30 Goodwood

The next race takes us to Goodwood in the Ladbrokes Handicap over 5f and my selection is EQUIPPED. The 4-year-old trained by Mick Channon won back in February at Lingfield and has looked back to his near best when narrowly beaten at Wolverhampton 7 days ago. He hasn’t set the world alight on turf but he’s stepping down in trip from last week and jockey George Bass is claiming 7lbs which will help his case here. His main dangers will be the Veteran Pettochside, who is a 6 time course winner, and Shani who has won over C&D. But I feel EQUIPPED can progress again claim this.

16.50 Newmarket

In the MansionBet Proud To Support British Racing Handicap over 6f. The horse I like is improving all the time, my selection is MANY A STAR E/W for trainer James Given and Jockey Hollie Doyle. The 3-year-old won back in July on his reappearance to the track when landing a handicap at Doncaster. He backed this up with a third at Pontefract earlier this month but was met with trouble during the race what will have hampered him. I feel he can improve again and he has more to offer and anything is possible with the jockey booking of Hollie Doyle. Man Of Promise will look to take to defy his open mark of 92 here and he can be a leading player for trainer Charlie Appleby and jockey William Buick. Endowed can be one to watch out for after winning a pair of nurseries last summer and he has form over C&D here when 2nd of 12 13 days ago. Byline and Musicality will look to improve again but more is needed.

19.00 Newmarket

In the MansionBet At Newmarket Fillies’ Handicap over 1m 2f the horse I am tipping is looking to break her Maiden and is owned by the Queen. The Horse in question is KEW PALACE for the team of William Haggas and jockey Tom Marquand. She had her best performance of date in her last race when 3rd of 10 at Chepstow over 1m 27 days ago. She is returning to this trip and has bags of stamina and is making her handicap debut off a good mark of 68. She will have more to offer I think and with a wide draw, she can take advantage of that. Her main contender I think will come in the shape of Morrooj for Roger Varian and Andrea Atzeni who won at Chepstow 13 days ago. She is stepping up in trip and is carrying a 7lb penalty.
