13.00 Down Royal

My First selection is was an each-way tip but she’s been backed all the way into 15/8 and is running in the 1.30 at Down Royal and the horse I am choosing is MEASURE OF MAGIC. She is a progressive type who has won 1 from 2 runs this year. She was last seen when holding on strongly to win a 12 runner race at Tipperary over 5f 35 days ago. Her yard are in great form (J P Murtagh) and Jockey S B Kelly is claiming 3lb to navigate the weight (8st 13lbs). I feel she can be involved here and her main rivals will be Grammata and Logo Hunter.

14.50 Newmarket

Next up we have the Newmarket Festival Charitable Novice Stakes over 1m 2f and my NAP for the day is DARAIN for John Gosden and Oisin Murphy. The Full Brother to Too Darn Hot lived up to his $3,500,000 guineas price tag when winning on his debut at Newbury over 1m 2f winning by 5L. I think even with a 7lb penalty this horse is open to plenty motor improvement and can navigate past the penalty for connections. I think he will be too darn good for the field here and get his double. Noonday Gun will look to improve and is open to more improve and Kew Palace will be the same. Add this one to your multiples today.

16.10 Beverley

My Tip in the ICS Cleaning Handicap over 1m 4f 23y is BY JOVE for trainer Michael Bell and Jockey Cieren Fallon. He improved once again when last seen at Salisbury 13 days ago following up his success at Winsdor back in June so they will be looking to achieve the hat trick here. With Cieren Fallon claiming 3lbs I feel with the step up in trip they will be able to improve again and be a leading contender. Kitten Dream is also stepping up in trip who was unlucky when last seen 7 days ago at this course but connections will be hoping they have passed through the green stages and they should see Kitten Dream improve again.

 17.15 Cork

My second last selection is running in the Dromahane Handicap Hurdle over 2m. My selection is SHANROE (NB) who won over 2m when last seen at Tipperary 28 days ago. He had plenty in hand when winning the handicap. He has been given a 12lb rise for that success but jockey J C Barry is claiming 5lbs so that will help massively and I feel he can put in another bold performance and is the pick for me in this race. Getaway Katie hasn’t been seen on a race course for over 300 days but is having a run with her new stable (Shane Ryder) previously with Willie Mullins and is making her handicap debut and will look to get involved. Elegant Lass and Farid will be ones to check in the market.

18.25 Ripon

Last up we have the Armstrong Memorial Handicap (Class 3) (3yo Plus) over 6f and my tip is EQUIANO SPRINGS for Tom Tate and Tom Queally. Looking to claim a hat trick after winning at Newcastle and Newmarket back in March and June. He was helped last time with a slight hold up but this is a harder race and has been given a 5lb penalty rise so more will be needed but I am tipping him E/W with some bookies paying 4 places and I feel he can still be involved. Some of the runners in the race are C&D winners so they will be looking to mount challenges. Some of them include Citron Major and Quick Look. Brian the Snail won at Newcastle 53 days ago winning by a nose but has been given a 5lb rise. Concerns are he isn’t the most reliable type. Muscika hasn’t won in 16 runs. He was a good second of 18 in a handicap at York 6 days ago, he did stay on well. They are now trying blinkers and will be looking to be a leading player.
