The Best Premier League Betting Tips for this Weekend: Everton and Sheff United to win again?

Premier League betting tips

The Premier League winter break is taking place, but there are still Premier League fixtures this weekend, with Everton vs Crystal Palace starting things off at 12.30pm. There are four matches this weekend to get some predictions from.

The other match on Saturday is the evening kick-off game between Brighton and Watford, before Sunday sees Sheffield United vs Bournemouth and Manchester City vs West Ham.

See the Premier League betting tips for all four of this weekend’s games below, as well as an accumulator tip combining all of our selections.

Everton vs Crystal Palace Prediction

  • Kick-off time: 12.30pm
  • Date: Saturday 8th February
  • Venue: Goodison Park

The first match of the weekend sees Everton host Crystal Palace, and with a tough run of games coming up, Everton will be keen to pick up another three points. Last weekend they came back from 2-0 down to beat Watford, sending their away following into raptures. Their next four fixtures are Arsenal, Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Crystal Palace haven’t won in their last six Premier League matches now and have slipped down to 14th in the table. Being just six points from the relegation places will have them looking over their shoulder but it’s probably not time to panic just yet. Goals are a continued problem for Hodgson’s side though and they have only scored two in a game twice in their last 11 matches.

Everton will have one eye on the European places but need to win this match to leap upto seventh in the table, level with Sheffield United.

My prediction for this game is an Everton to win, and I’m also expecting Richarlison to get on the scoresheet.

Betting Tips:

Brighton vs Watford Prediction

  • Kick-off time: 5.30pm
  • Date: Saturday 8th February
  • Venue: AMEX Stadium

As six pointers go, this is a big one. Brighton are currently two points above the relegation zone and three points above Watford. The Hornets would have been crushed after their 3-2 defeat to Everton last weekend, but Nigel Pearson will want to bounce back to winning ways in this game. It’s two defeats in a row now for Watford and they’re right back in trouble.

Brighton came back from 3-1 down to draw 3-3 against another relegation rival, West Ham last weekend. They’ve not won in five games now and at home they’ve drawn with Aston Villa and Chelsea in their last two at home. Graham Potter’s side have been flirting with the relegation zone all season and although I’m predicting they’ll avoid defeat here, it could just be another point for Brighton, which will be a decent result for Watford after two straight defeats.

Sheffield United vs Bournemouth Prediction

  • Kick-off time: 2.00pm
  • Date: Sunday 9th February
  • Venue: Bramall Lane

It has been a dream season for Sheffield United so far, and they’re expected to win again this weekend. Chris Wilder’s side are sixth in the Premier League, just a point off fifth and five off fourth. Anything from here would be a bonus for the Blades but their form shows no sign of stopping. Last weekend they picked up a 1-0 win at Crystal Palace to take their run to just three defeats in 10 matches – they were against Liverpool and Manchester City twice.

Bournemouth have now won their last two matches but they have both been at home. Those games ended a shocking run where they only won one match in 12. Away from home Eddie Howe’s side have only scored once in their last five and with Sheffield United’s strong defence, it could be another blank for Bournemouth in this one.

Betting Tips:

Sheffield United to win to nil @ 31/20 with Bet Victor.

Sheffield United to win 2-0 @ 13/2 with Bet Victor.

Manchester City vs West Ham Prediction

  • Kick-off time: 4.30pm
  • Date: Sunday 9th February
  • Venue: Etihad Stadium

David Moyes is already under pressure as West Ham manager and another defeat is expected this weekend. The Hammers have not won in six now and threw away a 3-1 lead at home to Brighton last weekend. The fans were furious with Moyes’ decisions in that game and now he has to set his team up to play second placed Manchester City.

City have been poor this season by their standards and will have to settle for second behind Liverpool in the Premier League. They were beaten again last weekend, going down 2-0 vs Tottenham at the Etihad. That was their second consecutive defeat and Pep Guardiola will expect a reaction from his side in this one. That is bad news for West Ham who could be on the end of a hammering this weekend. I’m expecting an easy Manchester City win on Super Sunday and a 4-0 scoreline looks a decent bet if you want to bet on a correct score prediction.

Betting Tips:

Man City to win 4-0 @ 17/2 with bet365.

Sergio Aguero to score first @ 5/2 with bet365.
