Premier League Predictions – Win for Arsenal, Lowing Scoring at Burnley & Bruno to Score Again

Another day means more Premier League fixtures and there are five games taking place tonight including bottom club Sheffield United at Burnley and the 8pm kick-off between Manchester United and Wolves. Brighton vs Arsenal

Arsenal to Win – 5/4 with bet365 The Gunners ended a long winless run after picking up an unlikely three points against Chelsea. Arsenal were forced into changes but, if anything, they provided a new lease of life as Arteta’s side looked far more up for the challenge. Given the fast turnaround, changes are expected but that is likely to favour Arsenal with their bigger squad size. A likely return for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and a struggling Brighton side should be a recipe for back-to-back wins for the North Londoners.  

Burnley vs Sheffield United

Under 2.5 Goals – 8/15 with bet365 Are there two sides better known for a lack of goals in the Premier League right now? Burnley’s results have picked up of late but in typical Sean Dyche fashion. Hard-thought 0-0s and 1-0s with the occasional 1-1 is usually the order of the day. Sheffield United will take anything they can get right now and have been limiting their opponents recently. It hasn’t quite been enough and that’s likely to be the case once again yet it’s hard to see either side notch more than once.  

Southampton vs West Ham

Draw and Under 2.5 Goals – 7/2 with bet365 The goals have dried up recently for Southampton. The Saints have managed just one goal in their last three outings with all three scores restricted to a maximum of two goals. The likely absence of Danny Ings will only make the continuation of that trend more probable. West Ham have been involved in some high scoring games of late but have come up against high-scorers in Manchester United, Leeds, and Chelsea recently. With rotation likely for these two well-matched sides, an even contest is likely.  

West Brom vs Leeds

Under 2.5 Goals – 6/5 with bet365 The Sam Allardyce reign has truly begun with a gritty hard-fought point against league leaders, Liverpool. The Baggies survival bid will be built on solid defensive displays and that is likely to be the primary aim against Leeds. Leeds’ results have been all over the place thanks in no small part to their, at times chaotic, man-for-man press. The scoreline predictably settled down to a 1-0 following the 6-2 thrashing at the hands of Manchester United and given the opponent this time around, a similarly goal-shy scoreline is in order.  

Manchester United vs Wolves

Bruno Fernandes Anytime Scorer – 7/5 with bet365 In less than a year, Bruno Fernandes has well and truly established himself as the Manchester United talisman. United are on a run of eight without defeat in the league and have scored two or more in six of those. Fernandes has netted six in that period, including goals in each of his last two. Wolves’ previously excellent record against the league’s elite sides has deserted them this season. All but one of their wins have come against sides beneath them in the table. Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have failed to score in four of their eight games against teams currently placed higher in the league. Whenever United win, Fernandes is almost certainly heavily involved.
