Euro 2020 Tips: Four Players to Watch at the European Championships

The start of Euro 2020 will mark the start of the competition between some of the best players in the world. We are talking about the likes of Mbappe, Hazard, de Bruyne, Harry Kane, Lewandowski, de Ligt, and many more. All of these players are likely to face each other at some point and bring a spectacle. But, instead of focusing on players that have already established themselves as some of the best in the world, we wanted to take a look at some of the younger players that have massive potential and you should keep an eye on them. Let’s check them out.

Bukayo Saka (England)

Bukayo Saka is just 19 years old and is already proving to be one of the biggest young prospects in the Premier League. He’s played a key role at Arsenal this season and every major club is now interested in purchasing him. He started his national career back in 2017 for England’s U16 team. Thanks to his qualities, Saka managed to rise up the ranks very fast and has been playing for the senior squad since 2020. His main position is right-winger and so far, Saka has had 4 caps for England. The Euro will present him with the perfect chance to prove himself and let the world know how much of a quality player he is.

Kai Havertz (Germany)

Kai has had a very tough season. After he joined Chelsea, he has been struggling to find his form, but make no mistake – this youngster has a lot to prove and he intends to do just that. This attacking midfielder was born in 1991 and he is just 21 years old. He joined the German senior national squad on September 9th, 2018 and since then, he’s had a total of 12 appearances and managed to find the back of the net 3 times. Havertz turns into a beast when it comes to playing for the national jersey, which is why it is worth keeping an eye out on him.

Phil Foden (England)

Next up, we have Pep Guardiola’s biggest protégé. Phil Foden is without a doubt the biggest young talent in the England national squad. The left-winger is praised by many fans and he has massive potential; one that makes him a potential future GOAT of football. Foden made his debut with the seniors on September 5th 2020, and since then, he’s had a total of 6 appearances and 2 goals.

Dejan Kulusevski (Sweden)

Finally, we have Juventus’ biggest young talent. Interesting enough, Dejan Kulusevski is a Macedonian player who played for their national team. Before choosing Sweden, Dejan was part of North Macedonia’s U16 team. But, he stated that he thinks that he has a much greater chance of reaching his full potential in Sweden. Considering the fact that he was born in Sweden to Macedonian players, Kulusevski does have Swedish citizenship and hence, he made his debut for the senior team on November 18th 2019. Since then, he’s had a total of 12 appearances.
