How does Premier League Handicap Betting Work?
To understand the Premier League handicap betting system, you need to know the starting handicaps of all the teams. The easiest way to explain how this works is by saying that all the teams start with their handicap points total. So for the 2025/26 season, Liverpool will start on 0 points because they are predicted to win the title. bet365 has Arsenal starting on +3 points, Man City on +3, Chelsea on +12, Newcastle +15, Aston Villa +21 etc. Effectively, how the Premier League handicap betting works is at the end of the season, you add the handicap onto the points total for each team, and whoever has the most points COMBINED, wins the handicap table.
