We’re backing United to progress to the next round of the FA Cup against a Leicester side who are struggling this season and fighting relegation in the league. Despite losing last time out, they have won three of their last four in all competitions, two of those victories coming in the Europa League with a win over Fulham in between. Leicester have lost eight of their last 10 in all competitions, with one of their two victories in that time coming against QPR in this cup. I think United will win and progress here. That said, because of United’s poor season, I think they will get a scare here and concede a goal or two. Both teams will be desperate to get to the next round of the competition, and I think both will go for it from the start, leaving them exposed at the back. United have conceded in eight of their last 10, and you need to go back to early October for Leicester’s last clean sheet. I think both teams to score is a good bet here. We’ve gone for two players to be carded in this one – Boubakary Soumare and Bruno Fernandes. Soumare has been carded eight times in the Premier League this season in just 17 appearances, giving him an average of almost one card every two games. He has made 19 fouls in that time, so averages more than one per game. Bruno Fernandes has picked up five bookings in all competitions this year – three in the league, one in the Europa League and one in the Carabao Cup. I expect this one to be an all-guns-blazing, physical encounter as these two battle it out to progress to the next round. Both players are good odds to pick up another card here.
