Brighton have had a fairly mixed season and are in ninth place. They’re just three points outside the top six though, and are 15/4 for a top six finish this season. Bournemouth are in that sixth spot at the minute, having a great season. They are 11/10 to be in the top six come the end of the season.

Brighton come into this one in great form, having won their previous three matches in all competitions. Should they win here, they will go level on points with their opponents Bournemouth, taking a step closer to the top six. Bournemouth lost last time out against Wolves at home, and I think Brighton will come out on top here, especially with the home advantage. I think there will be plenty of goals, so I’m backing over two goals in the game. There have been over two goals in six of Bournemouth’s last 10 Premier League matches. Brighton are the same, with two or more in six of their last 10, however, there have been seven, three and four in their last three league games. There have been three or more goals in each of the last three meetings between these two, and I think it’s a solid bet here. We’re also backing over nine corners in the match. Games involving Brighton average 9.88 corners per game, with their home games averaging just over 10 per game. For Bournemouth, their games average more than 11 corners in total, and away from home their Premier League fixtures so far this season average over 11.5 per game. I expect plenty of quality and plenty of attacks here, and I think more than nine corners is a pretty solid bet. We’ve gone for Scotsman Ryan Christie to be booked for Bournemouth. The midfielder has already been carded nine times in the Premier League this season. He gets stuck in, but often makes tactical, and sometimes silly, fouls. He averages well over 1.5 fouls per game, with 40 fouls in his 25 league appearances so far this campaign. This one will be a physical battle, and there are several midfield players you might fancy for a booking, but I think Christie is great odds for his tenth of the season here.
