England vs Wales
It’s a Battle of Britain in this international friendly on Thursday as England welcome neighbours Wales across the border as the two sides prepare for their upcoming World Cup qualifier fixtures.
England have won their last two games and come into this one looking for a win ahead of their World Cup qualifier away to Latvia on Tuesday.
Wales have a decent chance of qualifying for the World Cup with 10 points from five games, and will be looking to come through this one unscathed ahead of a big match against Belgium on Monday.

England vs Wales Predictions
BEST BET BUILDER TIP – England to win @ 27/100
England have won their last two matches, and will be keen to continue that form here and pick up a win before heading in to their next World Cup qualifying match next week against Latvia. The Three Lions have won eight of their last 10 matches, with their only defeats coming against Greece and Senegal. They also defeated Wales 3-0 the last time these two met, but that was back in November 2022.
Wales have had a mix of results over the last year, with five wins in their 10 games since October 2024. I think England will have too much quality for them in this one, especially at Wembley.
ALTERNATIVE BET – For higher odds, you could take England to score more than two goals at 5/4, which has happened in five of their last 10 matches.
Player to Score Anytime Tip – Harry Kane (4/6)
Harry Kane went off with a slight knock for Bayern Munich at the weekend, but it was reported on Sunday that he had declared himself fit enough to join up with Thomas Tuchel’s squad on Monday. He’s on fire in the Bundesliga this season, with 11 goals in his first six league matches, also scoring four in two in the Champions League. He might be rested given that slight knock in preparation for Latvia, but should he play I think he’s got a great chance of scoring.
ALTERNATIVE BETS – if you fancy him to score more than one, you can boost the odds by taking him to score two or more at 3/1. If you fancy another England striker to score, Ollie Watkins is even money to net anytime.
Marcus Rashford to have 2+ shots (1/5)
This is the shortest odds selection on this bet builder, but I think this one lands comfortably. Marcus Rashford has had a decent start to the season in the blue and red of Barcelona, with one league goal and two Champions League goals to his name so far in 25/26. He has also scored one in England’s four World Cup qualifiers so far.
He has had a massive 19 shots in his eight La Liga appearances this season, an average well over two per game.
ALTERNATIVE BETS – nine of his 19 shots in the league have been on target in La Liga. You could take him to have 2+ shots on target at 13/8, which would boost this bet significantly to 16/1.
England vs Wales Player to be Carded Prediction – Ethan Ampadu (12/5)
Ethan Ampadu is the man we’re taking for a card here. He has already picked up two Premier League bookings in his five appearances for Leeds this season, with his latest coming in the weekend fixture against Spurs. He has been booked once in his two World Cup qualifiers for Wales in 25/26.
In the league, he has made seven fouls, giving him an average of over one per game. I know this one is a friendly, but I expect some hard tackles between the two home nations here. He’s coming up against a talented England front line who draw a lot of fouls, and I think he will make at least a few in this one.
