It’s a match-up between two of the Premier League’s big boys this Sunday as Manchester City host Liverpool. Only one point separates these two, with City in second on 19, and Liverpool in third on 18.

It’ll be a very close game between two extremely evenly matched teams here, but I think City will come out on top at the Etihad. Pep Guardiola’s side have won eight of their last 10, while Liverpool have won four of their last 10, which is poor by their very high standards. City are frightening in attack, and Liverpool have been suspect defensively on many occasions this season. I think City are rightly favourites this weekend.
Erling Haaland to score (3/4)
Erling Haaland is flying once more this season, with 18 goals in all competitions – 13 in the league and five in the Champions League. He has also scored 12 in six for Norway. All of that equates to an average of 1.5 goals per game, with 30 in 20. You’d be brave to bet against him scoring again this weekend.
ALTERNATIVE BET – Haaland to score two or more @ 10/3
You won’t get much better odds all season for Haaland to score two or more. 10/3 is extremely generous, and with his stats so far this season, there’s a good chance he can grab two or more.
BEST BET BUILDER TIP – Dominik Szoboszlai over 0.5 shots on target (29/20)
Following his impressive performance against Real Madrid, I’m backing Hungarian midfielder Szoboszlai to have at least one shot on target. He had five shots on Tuesday night, four of which were on target. In the league, he has had 20 shots with six on target. He had some shots from range midweek, and I think that will give him confidence to do more of the same here.
Conor Bradley over 1.5 fouls (19/20)
Conor Bradley was a warrior in midweek against Real Madrid. It was a fantastic performance for the full-back against Real Madrid, as he kept Vinicius Jr out of the game for the majority. He never shies away from a 50/50, and this season he has made 11 fouls in eight games, being carded three times. With an average just shy of 1.5 per game, and a frightening City attack coming up against him this weekend, I reckon he will make at least a couple of fouls.
