144/1 Tuesday Night Bookings Tips – 4 players tipped to be carded in the midweek fixtures
After the Nation paid its respects to Her Majesty the Queen over the weekend, football returns on Tuesday with some mouth-watering European ties and a full Football League fixture list ahead of us.
I’ve taken a look at four matches and picked out a player in each to be carded to make up a huge 144/1 bookings accumulator tip.
Once again, I’d recommend playing a small Lucky 15 or Yankee as well as the acca on its own and you can get the £20 Paddy Power offer if you open a new account, which gets you your first bet back in cash if you lose.
e.g. bet £20 on this 144/1 accumulator and if it loses, you get your £20 back as cash. If the bet wins you get £2900!
Tuesday Bookings Tips
- Sergio Busquets (vs Bayern Munich) – 21/10
- Edson Alvarez (vs Liverpool) – 8/5
- Jordan Storey (vs Burnley) – 7/2
- Joe Allen (vs Sheffield United) – 3/1
📚Odds – 144/1 with Paddy Power.
🟨Sergio Busquets (Barcelona) to be carded vs Bayern Munich
My first selection sees us head to the biggest tie of the evening in the Champions League where Bayern Munich take on Barcelona.
Bayern are one of the favourites to win this elite competition for the 7th time in their history, and I expect them to stamp their authority by brushing aside the Spanish Giants Barca in this one.
They’ll look to stop their former striker Robert Lewandowski from scoring, but possess huge threats themselves and that’s why I’m going with experienced centre midfielder Busqets to pick up a card.
Similarly to Marco Veratti of PSG, who duly obliged when I tipped him up last week by getting a card against Juventus, Busqets is no stranger to European referees and I think he’s a safe play to get a booking here on Tuesday
🟨Edson Alvarez (Ajax) to be carded vs Liverpool
I’m heading to Anfield for my next selection. I’m waiting for Liverpool to hit top gear this season because when they do, they’ll be pretty hard to stop.
They will be desperate to bounce back from last week’s drubbing away in Naples, so I can see them dominating play on Tuesday and really putting the Dutch Champions Ajax on the back foot.
That’s why I’m siding with Mexican defensive midfielder Alvarez to pick up a yellow. He’s been carded three times this season already, and I can see him suffering the same fate here as he will look to stop the likes of Darwin Nunez, Luis Diaz and Mohamed Salah from getting on the ball in deep areas and driving at their back line.
He doesn’t provide much value as a single, but I think he’s the most likely to get a card for the away side.
🟨Jordan Storey (Preston) to be carded vs Burnley
I’m going to the Championship for my next selection as Lancashire rivals Preston and Burnley face off.
This will be a game of contrasting styles and it will be very interesting to see who comes out on top. I’m expecting quite a feisty affair and Preston will look to stop Burnley from dominating play.
Preston defender Storey is my selection to pick up a yellow. He will be looking to stop the likes of Jay Rodriguez and Nathan Tella running riot for the visitors and I expect him to pick up yet another booking in the league this term.
🟨Joe Allen (Swansea) to be carded vs Sheffield United
My final selection sees us head to South Wales where high-flying Sheffield United take on Swansea.
Sheffield United will fancy their chances of picking up all three points in this one and, whilst Swansea will look to dominate possession, they do leave themselves open to counter-attacks and that’s where I think experienced midfielder Joe Allen comes into play.
He will be tasked with stopping powerhouse midfielder Sander Berge from driving The Bladesmen forward and I can see him being forced into bringing the Norwegian down and ultimately find himself in the book for the second time this season.
