My first selection is HARRIS ENGLISH 60/1 (Paddy Power) 1/5 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9, 10. Harris English was a top talent many years ago and he was beginning to find his feet again before golf was suspended back in March. The course should suit Harris as he is a top-quality ball striker and past winners show how important that is round here. English played a small 36-hole tournament over the weekend shooting -9 for them two rounds on his way to a second-place finish. This shows his game is in good shape and any rust he had since the lockdown would have been shaken off there.

 

ADAM HADWIN 100/1 (Paddy Power)

The next selection is ADAM HADWIN 100/1 (Paddy Power) 1/5 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. Adam Hadwin is another quality ball striker that should be suited by this test here at the Colonial. The break since March should be no problem for him as he shot 59 once after a 10 week break from the sport. 100/1 is more than fair with Paddy paying top 10 for e/w returns.

 

SEBASTIAN MUNOZ 150/1 (Paddy Power)

My third selection is the Columbian SEBASTIAN MUNOZ 150/1 (Sky Bet) 1/5 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. Munoz is fairly new to the PGA Tour but has already managed a victory in 2019 winning the Sanderson Farms Championship in a playoff. Munoz showed heart and bottle to gain victory there which shows being in contention isn’t an issue for him. Munoz is strong with the putter in his hand and if he can strike it well enough to find these small greens in the right number 150/1 will look huge. Munoz is known as a fast starter so that has to be a strength after the break he’s had. Hopefully he will be less rusty than most.

 

JIM FURYK 125/1 (Paddy Power)

My fourth selection is the veteran JIM FURYK 125/1 (Paddy Power) 1/5 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10). Furyk shown last season when he nearly won the PLAYERS Championship he still has the game to compete. Now Furyk is no longer Ryder cup captain he can focus on his own game and this course is the perfect fit for this straight hitter. Furyk played the same tournament English played over the weekend and came top 5 which shows his game is also in good order heading here.

 

PHIL MICKELSON 110/1 (Paddy Power)

My final selection is PHIL MICKELSON 110/1 (SKY BET 1/5 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9). I couldn’t quite believe the price when I seen it, 110/1 for Phil Mickelson. Mickelson played ‘The Match’ a few weeks back and his game looked in good shape and he appeared to be full of confidence. Mickelson still believes he can compete still on the PGA Tour despite turning 50 and he will be out to prove the doubters wrong. Phil knows how to win if he puts himself in contention and 110/1 is a ridiculous price for one of the greatest to ever play the game. He will either come first or last knowing Mickelson and 110/1 is a risk worth taken.
