48/1 Bookings Treble for Saturday’s Premier League Matches

Bookings tips

Premier League football returns this weekend after the international break and we have asked Jamie to pick out three players to get booked across the Saturday fixtures.

Our booking tips start with the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton at 12.30pm before the other two selections come from the 3pm matches between Man City and Brighton, and Bournemouth and Wolves.

You can read the reasons for each tip below and get the bet365 £30 welcome bonus to spend on this week’s matches where the best odds for this treble are 48/1.

Ashley Young to be carded against Liverpool – 2/1 with bet365

Liverpool come into this game in good form, winning their 5 home games in all competitions this season, whilst Everton have been fairly strong away from home, winning 3 of their 5 away games in all competitions. One of Liverpool’s most fouled players is their left winger Luis Diaz. In Liverpool’s 8 games this season, an opposition right back facing Diaz has been booked 3 times. Everton right back Ashley Young has played his last 4 games at right back, being booked in 3 of the 4. As a former Manchester United player, Young is full of experience when it comes to derbies against Liverpool, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get stuck in here. Referee Craig Pawson has the whistle, and he has given 26 bookings in 5 games this season, one of the highest averages.

Boubacar Traore to be carded against Bournemouth – 4/1 with bet365

Both of these sides currently sit in the bottom half of the table in what is a big game so early in the season. An opposition central midfielder has been booked in 6 of Bournemouth’s 8 games. Wolves central midfielder Boubacar Traore is likely to be given his first start of the season after Wolves midfielder Lemina was sent off in their last game. Traore has made 5 substitute appearances in the league this season, committing 8 fouls in 92 minutes (a foul every 11.5 minutes). Traore’s only starts have come in the League Cup, where he has made 5 fouls and received 1 booking in his 2 games. With Bournemouth looking for their first win, this is likely to be scrappy game where cards are expected to be handed out.

Carlos Baleba to be carded against Manchester City – 9/4 with bet365

Summer signing Carlos Baleba has made 1 start in the league for Brighton, committing 2 fouls and receiving a yellow card. Baleba has also made 1 start in the League Cup, committing 4 fouls in just 64 mins, again being booked. Baleba started just 5 games for Lille last season, making 7 fouls and being booked twice. In Manchester City’s 8 games in the league, they’ve come up against 20 central midfielders – 11 of these 20 have been booked. This average increases when at home, with both of Nottingham Forest’s central midfielders being booked away to City, 1 of Fulham’s 3, and all 3 of Newcastles. Baleba is likely to get stuck in, and it wouldn’t be a surprise for this trend of opposition central midfielders being booked against City to continue. The referee here is Robert Jones, someone that has given 37 yellow cards and 2 red cards in 7 Premier League games this season, booking all 3 Newcastle central midfielders in their trip to the Etihad.
