Charlton Athletic vs Queens Park Rangers – BTTS

Charlton had half of their games end up with both teams scoring in League One last season – albeit against worse opposition than QPR – who travel to the Valley in an all-London clash on Tuesday evening.

Michael Beale’s side have changed to a more attacking ethos this season, and it seemed to pay off with a 3-2 win over promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough – showing they can score against strong opposition. The Loftus Road outfit have brought in Leeds talent Tyler Roberts on loan, retained all of their striking options bar a 33-year-old Charlie Austin and will get to work against an outfit that have struggled to keep clean sheets. Cheltenham Town vs Exeter City – BTTS

Cheltenham were goal-happy last season as 65 per cent of their games saw both teams score at Whaddon Road; the third-highest in League One.

They take on an Exeter side who have started extremely well in League One themselves this season after promotion, with four points in two games, and despite the fact that Wade Elliott’s men are on a downbeat start to the season, they have shown they can cut it against better opposition in the third tier.

That, combined with Exeter’s confidence, makes this a great choice at 7/10.

Grimsby Town vs Crewe Alexandra – BTTS

Grimsby are back in the Football League after just one season in non-league, and face fellow fourth-tier outfit Crewe at Blundell Park in their return to the Carabao Cup.

The away side have started the season superbly after dropping down to League Two themselves last season, and have goals in their locker as they aim for an instant return. But coming up against a Mariners side who know how to find the net themselves, goals are expected in Lincolnshire – again, 7/10 is a good price for two sides who are likely to rest their first-team stars.

 

Oxford United vs Swansea City – BTTS

Especially after losing 3-0 to Blackburn Rovers at home at the weekend, the U’s could see chances galore – and with Swansea boasting a Championship-standard attack, 4/6 is a superb price for two top-heavy teams.
