Carabao Cup Betting Tips: 10/1 Mixed Market Treble on Tuesday
The next round of the Carabao Cup takes place this week and Tuesday’s fixtures throw up some good matches including potential upsets at Fulham (vs Leeds), QPR (vs Everton) and Sheffield United (vs Southampton).
Elsewhere, Norwich vs Liverpool is live on Sky Sports and holders Manchester City are 1/14 favourites at home to Wycombe. Burnley host Rochdale in another potential banana skin and Brentford will also need to avoid any slip ups at home to Oldham Athletic.
There are some short odds amongst the fixtures on Tuesday night but it still looks like there are some decent bets to get stuck into, which you can see below.
QPR vs Everton: Both Teams to Score
QPR had a very strong start to the season ut their form has dipped in the last couple of matches, losing 2-1 at Bournemouth and then a disappointing 2-1 loss at home to Bristol City on Saturday. Everton also had a poor result at the weekend, losing 3-0 at Aston Villa.
For this League Cup match, both teams to score is the bet at odds of 4/6 with bet365. It’s happened in QPR’s last three matches now and Everton have only kept one clean sheet this season, including conceding in the 2-1 won over Huddersfield in the last round. Benitez is very short of players for the next few weeks so expect a changed team from him here, giving QPR a real chance of an upset.
Fulham vs Leeds United: Fulham to win
The Cottagers are looking to bounce straight back to the Premier League so Marca Silva will make changes, but so will Marcelo Bielsa following Leeds’ poor start to the season. This could play into Fulham’s hands and they look a decent price to win this match at odds of 2/1 with bet365.
Fulham suffered a shock defeat against Reading on Saturday but prior to that they’d beaten Stoke 3-0 and Hull 2-0 on home soil. Leeds have had a tough start but couldn’t beat Newcastle on Friday night and Bielsa is sure to ring the changes, making Fulham an attractive proposition for this one.
Sheffield United vs Southampton: Over 2.5 goals
Sheff United had a disasterous start to the season but have recently found some form, particularly in front of goal. They’ve scored 11 goals in their last three matches now and their last four home matches have all had over 2.5 goals in. Southampton rested players in the last round but still won 8-0 at Newport County and even though we’re not predicting another whitewash, goals could be on the agenda again.
