Augsburg v Bayern Munich – Friday 19:30

Bayern Munich get the weekend’s football underway in Germany with a trip to struggling Augsburg. The German champions enjoy a four-point lead at the top of the Bundesliga, helped by four straight wins going into the international break.

Bayern, who have scored 40 goals in their opening 11 league games, will be strong favourites to notch another win at the WWK Arena, a venue they are unbeaten at in their last seven visits, dating back to 2014.

Augsburg dropped into the relegation zone just before the break after a 1-0 defeat at Wolfsburg. Prior to that, however, they had beaten Stuttgart 4-1, an incredible feat considering they had only scored five goals in the league before that win.

Bayern, who have failed to score less than three in their last four away games, should win comfortably.

Score Prediction: Augsburg 0-4 Bayern Munich (10/1 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Over 3.5 goals (6/10 with Paddy Power)

Lazio v Juventus – Saturday 17:00

Two of Serie A’s big guns meet at the Stadio Olimpico in Rome on Saturday evening, with both clubs having disappointing seasons so far by their standards.

Lazio sit in fifth place after winning just six games from their opening 12 fixtures, whilst 2019/20 champions, Juventus, are down in eighth place after just five league wins so far this campaign.

The hosts can boast the best home record in Serie A with five wins and one draw from their six games in front of their own fans, whilst Juve have been unspectacular on the road with just two wins, coming at Torino and Spezia.

Both sides will be looking for the win to improve their chances of a top four finish, but Lazio’s home form makes us think they can edge this one.

Score Prediction: Lazio 2-1 Juventus (9/1 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Lazio to win (2/1 with Paddy Power)

Fiorentina v AC Milan – Saturday 19:45

AC Milan will have the chance to go top of Serie A for 24-hours at least if they can avoid defeat against Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Saturday evening. The Rossoneri are level on points with leaders, Napoli, but face a tough trip to Florence to meet a team who are in seventh place.

Milan are still unbeaten in the league having won ten and drawn two of their opening 12 games. They had won their previous four games before being held to a 1-1 draw by rivals Inter Milan going into the international break.

Fiorentina have had a very inconsistent season and are yet to draw in the league. After 12 games, they have won six and lost six, so a draw in this seems unlikely. The hosts have won their last two home games 3-0, but we’re backing Milan to secure the win.

Score Prediction: Fiorentina 0-2 AC Milan (10/1 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: AC Milan to win (23/20 with Paddy Power)

Barcelona v Espanyol – Saturday 20:00

Xavi takes charge of his first game as head coach of Barcelona on Saturday evening, as they face city rivals Espanyol at the Nou Camp.

Barca have had a torrid season in La Liga, winning just four of their opening 12 games. They are currently without a win in their last four matches and two successive defeats saw the end of Ronald Koeman’s reign in charge. They are down in ninth place but only six-points off a top four finish if Xavi can start getting wins.

Espanyol are in eleventh place and will relish going to the Nou Camp to try and inflict more misery on their rivals. But they are yet to win in the league away from home and haven’t won a competitive game at the Nou Camp since 2009, which was thirteen attempts ago.

We’re backing a comfortable Barca win.

Score Prediction: Barcelona 2-0 Espanyol (11/2 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Barcelona win Handicap (-1) (Evs with Paddy Power)

Inter Milan v Napoli – Sunday 17:00

There is a huge game on Sunday evening in Serie A as the leaders going into the weekend, Napoli, travel to the San Siro to face reigning Italian champions, Inter Milan.

Inter currently sit in third place as they try to defend their title, but just seven wins from their opening 12 games has left Simone Inzaghi’s men seven-points adrift of the leaders. Inter are unbeaten at home in the league but were held to draws by both Juventus and Atalanta.

Napoli have been excellent this season and remain unbeaten having won ten and drawn two of their opening 12 games. They have conceded just four goals in the league this campaign, but they were held to a surprise 1-1 draw at home against Verona going into the international break. However, their away form is the best in Serie A having won five and drawn one of their games on the road.

This could be a very tight game and we can’t see many goals so we wouldn’t be surprised to see a 0-0 draw.

Score Prediction: Inter Milan 0-0 Napoli (10/1 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Under 1.5 goals (3/1 with Paddy Power)
