Fantasy Football Captain Tips for Gameweek 32: Wolves Striker to Find the Net Again

Fantasy Football tips

Gameweek 32 throws up some interesting captaincy choices with favourable fixtures for some premium options. There are plenty of valid options with no obvious stand-out choice so we have picked out three potential captain picks for a Fantasy Football captain this week.

Wolves have a strong option for an FPL captain but there is an Arsenal home match against bottom club Norwich that could prove fruitful for their main goalscoring threat. The third option is Manchester United’s hat-trick hero from the game with Sheffield United.

See which players you could pick as a Fantasy Football captain for this week’s matches.

Option 1 – Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (11.0m) vs Norwich

It’s difficult to make a case for a striker with no goals or assists in his last four league appearances but I’m going to try. Aubameyang has scored 17 league goals this season, just two shy of Jamie Vardy despite a hugely disappointing campaign for Arsenal.

The Gabon striker came just inches from opening the scoring against Brighton last time out, hitting the crossbar from a tight angle. Arsenal will be at home to Norwich who have conceded 56 Premier League goals, the second-worst in the league.

Before his barren run, Aubameyang had scored six in seven since Arteta took charge. He may not have form on his side but this fixture alone makes him with considering as a captaincy option.

Option 2 – Raul Jimenez (8.3m) vs Aston Villa

A striker who most certainly does have the form on his side is Wolves’ Raul Jimenez. The Mexican frontman has two in two since the restart and four in his last five league games. Those goals take his tally to 15 Premier League goals for the season.

His side face relegation-threatened Aston Villa up next. Stand-in goalkeeper, Orjan Nyland hasn’t had the best of starts since taking his place between the sticks, looking shaky on more than one occasion. No side has conceded more than Aston Villa’s 59 league goals this season.

Jiminez and Adama Traoré have combined well this season, linking for ten goals so far. The Wolves’ striker’s biggest caveat is his seemingly low points ceiling. Jimenez has only hit double-digit point hauls on three occasions, with just one brace all campaign.

Option 3 – Anthony Martial (8.1m) vs Brighton

On the opposite end of the spectrum is Anthony Martial. The Frenchman hasn’t always displayed consistency in his performances but has delivered some big point returns. His hat-trick in Gameweek 31+ saw him deliver 21 points – his best return of the season. Martial has hit double figures four times from 24 starts.

This is already Martial’s best goalscoring campaign in England with 14 league goals. His midweek hat-trick means he has now scored in four of the last six league games.

Manchester United face a Brighton side who have performed well on occasion against top-half sides. The Seagulls did the double over Arsenal, beat Spurs 3-0, and have picked up creditable draws against Leicester, Chelsea, and Wolves. Having said this, United won 3-1 in their reverse fixture with Martial bagging 10 points with two assists.

Recommended Captain for Gameweek 32

It’s not the most straightforward choice, but Raul Jimenez’s consistency and appealing fixture is enough to earn him the armband this week. They play Aston Villa in the first Premier League match of the weekend and he could give a flying start to your Fantasy Football Gameweek 32 points tally.
