Fantasy Football Captains Tips and Advice for Gameweek 30

Fantasy Football tips

With Manchester City playing first, Liverpool may go into the Merseyside Derby knowing that a win would seal the title. Those two fixtures are the focus of our captain picks as we look forward to Gameweek 30.

City’s game with Arsenal was called off in midweek, meaning those with DGW captains picks were left frustrated, and there is no confirmation that any or all matches with take place this weekend. However, all we can do is pick our teams and hope for the best.

Option 1 – Sadio Mané (12.4m) vs Everton

Mané delivered a goal and an assist against Bournemouth to take his tally up to 14 goals and 9 assists for the season. Since returning from injury, he has delivered in three of his four games, totalling 28 points in 300 minutes of action.

The last time Mané faced Everton, he was heavily involved, scoring a brace and bagging an assist to deliver 15 points. It is a much-changed Everton side from the calamitous one Liverpool faced back in early December, but with the title within reach, a bulldozing Liverpool performance is not out of the question.

Option 2 – Mo Salah (12.7m) vs Everton

Competing with Mané for the armband once again is teammate Mo Salah. The two have been neck and neck for much of the season in FPL terms. Mané outscored Salah last time out but the Egyptian wasn’t far behind, also finding the back of the net. With that, he took his tally to 16 league goals and six assists for the season.

Salah missed the reverse fixture against Everton but scored a goal that went on to win the Puskas award against the Toffees. Everton have been much improved under Ancelotti but with the Premier League title nearing closer, Salah and co may have a field day.

Option 3 – Kevin De Bruyne (10.6m) vs Burnley

Our final option is the ever-consistent Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian missed the Manchester Derby defeat to United but has largely delivered when called upon this season. He is yet to play Arsenal at the time of writing but has delivered eight goals and 18 assists from just 25 league starts.

City ran out 4-1 winners in their reverse fixture with the Clarets, one of the rare occasions that De Bruyne was not directly involved in any of the goals.

At the time of writing, De Bruyne has delivered attacking returns in seven of his last 11 games, amassing double digit hauls on three occasions. In fact, only one has De Bruyne not scored 10 points or more after scoring this season.

Recommended Captain for Gameweek 30

There is very little to split our three options this week but we’re backing Kevin De Bruyne based on the kinder fixture, at least on paper.
