Fantasy Football Gameweek 21 Advice, Transfers and Tips

Fantasy Football tips

It’s the last festive fixture before a short break for FPL managers after a busy few weeks. Here’s our look at some Premier League Fantasy Football picks heading into the New Year’s Day fixtures.

It was a tough start to Gameweek 20 with a lot of low scoring teams on show, but the Sunday fixtures changed this with Sadio Mane, Kevin De Bruyne, Tammy Abraham and Trent Alexander-Arnold all picking up points from the Sunday matches. There were also returns for Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial in the Manchester United fixture.

FPL Goalkeepers and Defenders Tips

Ancelotti’s arrival at Everton has improved The Toffees rear-guard. Just one goal conceded in the last three games makes Mason Holgate (4.4m) a nice affordable pick.

Crystal Palace’s Martin Kelly (4.3m) is another affordable pick with strong defensive form. Only Liverpool have conceded fewer goals than Palace in the last four games. Norwich could be a fruitful game for Kelly.

John Lundstram (5.2m) has been an excellent pick all season but an injury ruled him out of The Blades clash with Manchester City. He is an injury doubt with such a quick turnaround and if passed fit will face Liverpool next week.

FPL Midfielders Tips

Ismaila Sarr (6.2m) has averaged seven points a game over his last three games. Watford’s performances have improved dramatically with the appointment of Nigel Pearson ahead of a fixture with a Wolves side who have made a habit of conceding.

Pablo Fornals (6.0m) has gone under the radar in recent weeks but is making a strong case for himself. He scored his first goal in the last gameweek to add to his three assists in the last six gameweeks. He has started each of those games in his most consistent run of the season and plays struggling Bournemouth next.

David Silva (7.4m) has missed the last four games and is unlikely to be fit for Everton’s visit to the Etihad.

FPL Forwards Tips

Neal Maupay (5.8m) scoring run has come to an end but the Frenchman continues to be involved for Brighton. He has three goals and an assist from his last five starts and faces an out of form Chelsea next.

Troy Deeney (6.2m) netted a brace last time out to make it three in three. The Watford captain has started each of the last six and plays Wolves and Bournemouth in his next two fixtures.

Lys Mousset’s (4.9m) minutes have been managed over the festive period. He hasn’t scored in his last six after his goal was ruled out against Manchester City. With Liverpool away up next, Mousset is best avoided.
