Fantasy Football Gameweek 12 Tips – Who should be captain?
The captain’s pick for Fantasy Football is always a tough decision and as last weekend proved, it is never certain some of the big players will score points. This weekend we avoid the Man City players and look elsewhere.
Another tough week for Manchester City assets as Raheem Sterling and Kevin de Bruyne both blanked. With Liverpool up next, they’re not in our thinking for this week’s shortlist.

Option 1 – Tammy Abraham (7.9m) vs Crystal Palace
Chelsea have been in excellent form in recent weeks, putting together seven straight wins. During that time Abraham has taken his goal tally up to 9, joint second in the league with Sergio Aguero and just one behind Jamie Vardy. Abraham has added assists to his game in recent weeks, grabbing one in each of his last two league games as well as one midweek against Ajax. Abraham’s biggest caveat is that only two of his 11 attacking returns have come at Stamford Bridge.
Option 2 – Jamie Vardy (9.4m) vs Arsenal
The Leicester forward is arguably in the form of his life. 10 goals and a pair of assists in the last 9 gameweeks represents a superb return. He has delivered attacking points in four of his last five games and has scored five in his last four home games. Vardy faces an Arsenal side with a leaky defence up next. His impressive scoring record against The Gunners bolsters his appeal further. What’s more, Arsenal have conceded multiple penalties already this season which would give Vardy the chance to notch from the spot once again.
Option 3 – Sadio Mané (12m) vs Manchester City
There’s no question Mané hasn’t got the best fixture on paper. Nevertheless, Manchester City haven’t been the best defensively having conceded on six separate occasions. The continued presence of Fernandinho in the backline and the ever-changing fullback selections will boost Mané’s chances of a return. The Senegalese international has returned attacking points in three of his last four and is currently the go-to man in the Liverpool frontline. Four double-figure hauls in the last 10 gameweeks highlights his explosive potential.
Recommended FPL Captain for Gameweek 12
We’re backing the current top FPL point scorer, Jamie Vardy, thanks to his strong form and favourable fixture. The striker got another goal against Crystal Palace last weekend and shows no signs of stopping in this exciting Leicester City team. With the Liverpool and Manchester City players facing off against eachother, Jamie Vardy is our captain pick for FPL GW 12 this week.
