Reasons for this Weekend’s Acca Tips

Premier League and Championship football resumes this weekend, but games featured in this Saturday Accumulator include action in Leagues One and Two, the Scottish Premiership and the National League. In-form Peterborough and Crewe are covered in the third and fourth tiers while Aberdeen host struggling St Johnstone in Scotland.  Lowly fifth tier teams Aldershot and Ebbsfleet also face tough opposition on their travels. Odds of approximately 15/1 will be available for the successful outcome of these 3 o’clock kick-offs.

Peterborough vs Rochdale Betting Tip – Peterborough win.

Following an indifferent start to the season, Peterborough have regained that winning feeling with three successive League One victories earned without conceding a goal. That sequence began by bearing a poor Southend outfit and culminated in the 3-0 home defeat of previously unbeaten Sunderland. Posh now host a Rochdale team which had won just one other league match before claiming a 3-0 success at Southend prior to the international break. The Dale have been beaten only by Sunderland and Manchester City U21’s this term but face another loss at in-form Peterborough.

Crewe vs Cambridge Betting Tip – Crewe win.

Since losing 6-1 at Aston Villa in EFL Cup action near the end of last month, Crewe have won both League two matches adding to three other victories already claimed this term. The Railwaymen have also conceded no more than one goal per game in league action since an opening day 3-0 defeat by Plymouth. Cambridge will arrive at Gresty Road having lost three consecutive league matches with only one goal netted and they were also hammered 6-0 at Swansea in cup action. Another loss is looming for Cambridge.

Aberdeen vs St Johnstone Betting Tip – Aberdeen win.

Having won just one of eight competitive matches this season when beating Brechin in Scottish League Cup action, St Johnstone now face the prospect of travelling to Pittodrie for a Premiership game. The Perth based team lost 7-0 at Celtic in their opening league match and claimed a 2-2 draw at Hibernian via a very late equaliser before losing 1-0 on home soil prior to the break. Hosts Aberdeen have experienced a mixed start to their domestic campaign, but a 3-0 home victory against Ross County two weeks previously suggests an upturn in form. A home win is predicted for our accumulator tips this weekend.

Stockport vs Aldershot Betting Tip – Stockport win.

A serious defensive error for the first goal contributed to a surprise 3-0 National League loss at Chorley last weekend for Stockport but County have scored at two goals in winning their last four matches at Edgeley Park. Visitors Aldershot have won twice on their travels this term but have also suffered five league defeats since the beginning of the campaign. The Shots have also registered just one clean sheet all season and could face a home team eager for a response to that recent loss. Stockport are tipped to win this match.

Woking vs Ebbsfleet Betting Tip – Woking win.

After winning six successive games in National League action, Woking shared the points in a 1-1 stalemate with a useful Torquay outfit before earning another 1-1 draw at improving Hartlepool. The Cardinals now host an Ebbsfleet team which has shown some signs of improvement in recent games but they have still won just once this term when beating 10-men Boreham Wood 2-1. With no clean sheet registered this season to date, the Fleet may struggle against the current league leaders with a home win predicted.
