Four Cards Betting Tips for the Championship Fixtures this Week

Cards betting tips

We have a full list of Championship fixtures this week and Jamie is back with four more selections for his cards betting tips across Tuesday and Wednesday night’s action.

The tip looks at two matches from tonight and two from tomorrow night as we go in search of a big priced cards accumulator – but you could also bet on these as singles or doubles for each day.

Birmingham vs Middlesbrough – Kristian Pedersen to be carded (11/4 Bet365)

Middlesbrough right-wing back Isaiah Jones has started 28 games this season, being fouled 2.28 times per 90 minutes. A direct opponent booked against him in 10 games this season. Birmingham left centre-back Kristian Pedersen has been making 1.14 fouls per 90 minutes this season, and has been booked 9 times in 31 starts. Due to his low fouling stats, this shows that he is making cynical fouls, which is what is making Jones’ opponents receive cards in recent games.

Blackburn vs Derby – Lewis Travis to be carded/over 2 cards for both teams combined (3/1 Bet365)

An opposition central midfielder has been booked against Derby in 15 of their last 30 games. This includes against Blackburn in the reverse fixture where Blackburn central midfielder Lewis Travis was booked. Travis has committed 1.55 fouls per game this season, making 4 fouls in the reverse fixture. This has contributed towards him receiving 9 yellow cards in 36 starts. He has been booked in 2 of his last 3 meetings with Derby and with Blackburn and Derby both being in the top 5 sides in the Championship for most cards received, there should be 3+ cards given here.

Nottingham Forest vs QPR – Sam Field to be carded/Nottingham Forest or draw double chance (5/2 Bet365)

Due to the way that Nottingham Forest play, involving a lot of passing through the centre of midfield, an opposition central midfielder has been booked against Forest in 20 of their last 30 games. In the reverse fixture, both QPR central midfielders were booked, making 5 fouls between them. Sam Field did not start that game but is expected to start here after starting for QPR in their last 8 games. Field has been booked 7 times in 16 starts this season, making 1.8 fouls per 90 minutes. QPR come up against the most fouled side in the league here away from home and Field is expected to make fouls. Forest are expected to get a result in this game as they are unbeaten in 8 games at home, whilst QPR have only won one of their last 5 games away from home.

Cardiff vs Stoke – Lewis Baker to score anytime (7/1 Bet365)

Stoke central midfielder Lewis Baker is on-loan from Chelsea and has started 11 games this season, scoring 6 goals. 5 of these 6 goals have come in his last 8 games. He is now their penalty taker and 3 of his 6 goals have been penalties. The odds on him to score anytime on Bet365 is similar to the odds on him to score first elsewhere. Due to his recent record for Stoke, as well as Baker being their penalty taker, this is certainly overpriced at 7/1.
