Fantasy Football tips

FPL managers have been afford some respite from the hectic festive schedule but Gameweek 22 is now upon us with the first double gameweek of the season just round the corner.

FPL Goalkeepers and Defenders Tips GW22

The returning Lukasz Fabianski (4.9m) is our first pick of the week. The Polish shot-stopper has returned from injury for The Hammers, who under new management. Fabianski consistently ranks highly for saves made and has a double gameweek coming up.

Djibril Sidibé (5.4m) highlighted his strong points potential by picking up two bonus points in a 2-1 defeat to City. The Frenchman has kept two clean sheets and recorded an assist in his last four games. The Toffees now face a run of kind fixtures that could deliver more points for Sidibé owners.

Nigel Pearson has transformed a struggling Watford side. The defensive output has improved dramatically with their budget defenders looking like viable options. Craig Cathcart (4.3m) is perhaps the pick of the bunch with his place in the team assured and three goals scored last season.

Aymeric Laporte (6.3m) is nearing a return from injury and maybe worth keeping an eye on. Man City have struggled in his absence and it may take a while for him to get up to speed. At his hefty price, it’s worth holding off when he does eventually return.

FPL Midfielders Tips GW22

Aston Villa’s star man, Jack Grealish (6.4m), put in another match-winning performance last time out. He has now scored six and assisted six, placing him seventh in the overall midfield rankings. Villa’s fixtures aren’t ideal but if they are to score, Grealish will likely play a part.

There are several exciting options in the Watford ranks, but it is Ismaila Sarr (6.2m) who has caught our eye. The Hornets’ record signing has made the most of his run of starts with two goals and two assists in his last five. He is an affordable midfield option for the foreseeable.

Pedro Neto (5.0m) has gone under the radar but is beginning to show promise. The Portuguese winger has featured heavily in recent weeks and scored his first goal last week after his goal against Liverpool was ruled out by VAR.

It may be time to let go of Dele Alli (8.8m). Tottenham’s form has taken a dip lately and the injury to Harry Kane may make matters worse. Spurs face Liverpool in their next game and host Manchester City in a few gameweeks time.

FPL Forwards Tips GW22

It’s not been the best debut season for Sebastien Haller (7.0m) but the appointment of David Moyes could change his fortunes. The Hammers’ frontman netted in his last game ahead of double gameweek 24.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin (6.9m) wasn’t able to add to his tally of three goals since Ancelotti took over but still looks a great option. Everton’s run of favourable fixtures have made him one of the most in-demand FPL assets this week.

Harry Kane (11.0m) has sustained an injury that could rule him out for a few weeks. The timeframe is still unclear so if you own him, now’s the time to sell and free up some budget.
