Accumulator Odds – 11/1 with Betway
Games from Spain, France, Portugal and Switzerland feature in this Sunday Accumulator with Sevilla, Lyon and Sporting Braga all aiming to collect three home points in their respective leagues. Meanwhile in the Swiss Super League, the top two teams Young Boys and Basel will hope to secure maximum away points as they visit Lugano and Luzern respectively. Odds of approximately 12/1 will be available for the successful outcome of these games.
Ahead of their visit to Sevilla on Sunday, Villarreal have failed to register a victory in their last six La Liga fixtures with no more than one goal scored per game. The Yellow Submarines have also lost all away matches apart from two games won at bottom of the table teams Leganes and Espanyol. Hosts Sevilla will aim to extend a sequence of four victories in five La Liga home matches and they were unbeaten in competitive action since early October until a narrow Europa League loss on Thursday evening. Sevilla still won their group and should earn victory in this game.
Recovering from a two-goal deficit allowed Lyon to claim a berth in the Champions League knockout phase when drawing 2-2 with Leipzig on Tuesday evening. Boosted by that success, OL can now concentrate on Ligue 1 with three victories registered in their last four matches and they now host a Rennes team which finished bottom of their Europa League group and has won just once on away soil since the beginning of September. That victory was claimed at lowly Metz earlier this month but this game is a much tougher assignment and an away loss is forecasted.
Just two Portuguese Primeira Liga victories earned this season is not a good sign for Pacos De Ferreira and with just one point earned on the road, their prospects appear bleak for this visit to Sporting Braga. The hosts had already qualified for the Europa League knockout phase before a 4-2 Thursday evening win at Slovan Bratislava, and they have also won four of their last seven matches in domestic league action. Beaten only by Benfica in competitive action on home soil this term, Sporting could claim another three points.
Six consecutive Swiss Super League defeats does not inspire much confidence in Luzern ahead of this home fixture against title contenders Basel, and it is also worth noting that they were beaten 3-0 by their visitors in the return fixture back in late September. For Basel, a 2-0 midweek Europa League victory confirmed their position as Group C title winners and they had beaten Young Boys and Sion by 3-0 and 4-0 scorelines in prior domestic league matches. Another three points are expected to be collected by the visitors.
It was a particular poor Thursday evening for both teams in Europa League action as they were eliminated from the competition despite drawing their respective matches. In the case of Lugano, they failed to win a group match and have experienced an inconsistent set of results in Swiss Super League action. Visitors Young Boys still lead the league table after winning seven of their last nine matches and they have been beaten just twice this season. The Boys from Bern could earn another three points.
