Burton vs Accrington – Burton Win

When these two sides met recently, Accrington came out on top at the Crown Ground, however, the Brewers look set to get their own back this weekend. The hosts rode their luck at times against MK Dons ten days ago, but they picked up all three points and have now won four of their last five League One matches. They’ve also managed back-to-back home clean sheets and have kept the opposition off the scoresheet in 50% of their matches at the Pirelli so far this season. Accrington continue to be a little inconsistent, but injuries to their small squad haven’t helped matters. They’ve conceded eight goals in their last three matches and could struggle to pick up anything from this fixture. John Coleman’s men are occasionally capable of surprising the opposition, however they’ve won just once on the road since the end of September.

Rochdale vs Gillingham – Gillingham Win

The Gills’ unbeaten run has been fantastic yet their progress has been hampered by too many draws. Steve Evans’ side have created plenty of chances in recent weeks, although they’ve struggled to put them away. The Kent side haven’t lost since mid-November and have conceded just four goals in eight games. They will be tough to breach once again and Rochdale will have their work cut out here. The home side made light work of struggling Bolton in their last home match before conceding a late goal at Adams Park last weekend. They’ve lost four of their last five at home and although a draw could potentially scupper this selection, the hosts haven’t seen one of their matches at Spotland end in a stalemate since mid-September and it tends to be all or nothing with Brian Barry-Murphy’s side.

Peterborough vs Rotherham – Over 2.5 Goals

After enduring a barren run, Posh fans will have been delighted to see their side stick four past ten-man Wycombe in midweek. The hosts will be keen to build upon that success and despite the potential loss of Marcus Maddison, they still have plenty of talent in their squad. Sammie Szmodics is a wise addition and he will help drive them forward and create chances for Ivan Toney and co. Rotherham are the current leaders and have been scoring for fun in recent weeks. Injury-prone Kyle Vassell has managed to stay fit and that’s been a huge boost for the Millers. Paul Warne’s side have scored 18 times in their last seven matches and have netted 2+ goals in each of those fixtures. December 7th was the last time on their fixtures featured fewer than three goals.
