PGA Tour Championship Golf Betting Tips – 11/1, 25/1 and 66/1 Bets

The finale of the PGA Tour takes place this weekend as we head to East Lake GC to crown both the winner of the FedEx Cup and the Tour Championship.

The new format which start in 2019 has Dustin Johnson starting at -10 with Jon Rahm -8, Justin Thomas -7 and so on. Therefore, Dustin Johnson starts with a two-shot lead and is a worthy 15/8 favourite considering the form he is in.

WEBB SIMPSON 11/1

My first selection is a man who starts at -6 and that is WEBB SIMPSON 11/1. ( WILLIAM HILL 1/5 1,2,3,4,5). Webb Simpson has been in the form of his life this year playing excellent consistent golf throughout. He decided to take last week off which looks to be a shrewd move considering he only dropped one place in the rankings. He is 11/1 which I think is more than fair with top 4 available e/w and he seems to be the value towards the top of the market for me. East Lake is a course that should suit him well and starting only 4 behind means he’s right in the mix from his opening tee shot on day one.

XANDER SCHAUFFELE 25/1

My next selection is that man again, XANDER SCHAUFFELE 25/1 (WILLIAM HILL 1/5 1,2,3,4,5). I really wanted to leave him out this week but I just couldn’t. I have put Xander up numerous times over the last few weeks and he’s played well but just missed out on the money. Why this week then you may asked? Xander is the King of East Lake. He has won here before and he has the best stroke average out of the whole field. He starts 7 behind at -3 but I can see him working his way through the field and with the nothing to lose approach I can see reason to go to the well once more. He can make birdies for fun and if he can get on a roll early than I don’t see why he can’t get himself into contention and place at least.

SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER 66/1

My final selection here is SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER 66/1 (WILLIAM HILL 1/5 1,2,3,4,5). Scottie has had a fine rookie season and has to be a lively contender for rookie of the year. His confidence can’t be any higher considering the level of golf he has been playing as of late which includes a 59 at TPC Boston 2 weeks ago and obviously challenging for a major for the first time at the PGA Championship. He starts -2 which explains the prices available but he is the one that catches the eye most for me as someone starting -2 or lower that could make a charge through the pack.
