This Sunday is the big one, the Super Bowl. The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will face the Kansas City Chiefs in what is set to be the ultimate showdown between QB’s Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes. The Bucs will have home field advantage as Tom Brady seeks to win his seventh Super Bowl ring in what will be his 10th Super Bowl appearance. Patrick Mahomes, on the other hand, is a freaky talent and is setting records like there is no tomorrow at such a young age. He led the Chiefs to Super Bowl victory last year and he bids to follow up this year.

Super Bowl Predictions 2021

The bookmakers have The Chiefs slight favourite and deservedly so in my opinion. They are the best team on the roster and they have a QB in Patrick Mahomes who is currently the best in the business. The Chiefs have such an array of talent on offense and they seem to score when they chose. The ‘cheetah’ Tyreek Hill is one of the best WR’s in the NFL and tight end Travis Kelce is arguably the best in his position as he continues to prove week in week out. Clyde Edwards-Helaire at RB provides the Chiefs with another offensive weapon who is more than capable of putting up the rushing yards and proving clinical when in the redzone. However, I expect Mahomes to be throwing the ball most of the night. The Bucs on the other hand continue to grow and appear to be peaking at the right time. Tom Brady has been here and done it all before and he has a stellar offensive team to support his quest for another ring. WR’s Mike Evans and Chris Godwin look set to play a key role on Sunday along with RB Leonard Fournette who has impressed during the playoffs. They have put up 30+ points in their last six matches and they’ll need more of the same to win on Sunday. Who will win Super Bowl 2021?

I think the Chiefs are the best team in the league and they will prove it on Sunday. I expect there to be plenty of points put up on Sunday by both teams but I have to favour Patrick Mahomes to get the job done. We all know Tom Brady is the greatest of all time but he’s shown signs of inconsistency this season including when throwing three interceptions in the Championship Game at Lambeau Field against the Packers. He definitely can’t afford to do that against this Chiefs team on Sunday. Patrick Mahomes on the other hand looks as flawless as ever and watching Mahomes throw an interception is very rare. I have to favour the consistent of Mahomes to get the job done. The WR’s across both teams are full of talent and they appear to be pretty evenly matched. Tyreek Hill is sure to be involved and Mike Evans will be key to the Buc’s chances as I’m sure he’ll be the man Brady will target most. I’d expect Brady to get more time in the pocket than Mahomes giving the strengths of the Bucs’ offensive line but I’m sure Andy Reid (Head coach Chiefs) will have plenty of scope within his playbook for Sunday that will involve Mahomes getting the ball out quickly. Both teams aren’t the strongest defensively but they have both shown steady improvement throughout the season and if one of the defensive teams can make a big play, it could have a huge impact on the outcome of this football game.
