Malmo FF v Chelsea

Chelsea’s lead at the top of the Premier League was extended at the weekend after the Blues won 3-0 at Newcastle and saw their rivals drop points. This midweek they can focus on progressing in the Champions League, as Thomas Tuchel’s men look to retain their title as champions of Europe.

They visit Sweden to face Malmo FF at the Eleda Stadion sitting in second place in Group H. These two sides met just two weeks ago at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues running out comfortable 4-0 winners thanks to goals from Andreas Christensen, Kai Havertz, and two Jorginho penalties.

Chelsea will need to win this game to keep the pressure on leaders of the group, Juventus, who they face next in a crunch game at the Bridge. Whilst Malmo will want maximum points to give themselves any chance of qualifying for the Europa League if they can move off the bottom of the group.

Chelsea have only conceded one goal in the UCL so far, and only three in the Premier League. We don’t see Malmo breaching their defence and this should be a comfortable away win.

Score Prediction: Malmo FF 0-2 Chelsea (5/1 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Chelsea to win to nil (5/6 with Paddy Power)

Atalanta v Manchester United

There has been mounting pressure on Ole Gunnar Solksjaer after some poor performances and results for Manchester United, most recently a 5-0 hammering by rivals, Liverpool. However, their 3-0 win at Tottenham on Saturday evening has relieved some of that tension for now.

The Red Devils produced another late show to beat Atalanta 3-2 at Old Trafford two weeks ago, despite being 2-0 down at half time. Goals from Mario Pasalic and Merih Demiral had given the Italians a first half lead, but United hit back in the second half with goals from Marcus Rashford, Harry Maguire, and Ronaldo. That result has left United sitting top of Group F, but they are only two points clear of Villareal and Atalanta.

A win for Solksjaer’s side at the Gewiss Stadium will see them all but qualify for the knockout stages, but success for Atalanta will see them move above United. It should be a fascinating game and we’re expecting goals again.

Score Prediction: Atalanta 2-2 Manchester United (9/1 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Over 3.5 goals (5/4 with Paddy Power)

Bayern Munich v Benfica

The top two sides in Group E meet at the Allianz Arena as Bayern Munich welcome Benfica.

Munich sit top of the group after three straight wins, which have produced 12 goals without conceding one. That included a 4-0 win last time out against Tuesday’s opponents at Estadio da Luz in Lisbon. The game was still 0-0 with 70 minutes gone, but two goals from Leroy Sane, a tap in by Robert Lewandowski, and an Everton own goal, gave the German champions a comfortable win.

Victory on Tuesday night will confirm Munich’s progression to the knockout stages, but Benfica will also want the points as they are just one-point ahead of Barcelona. Benfica had drawn 0-0 at Dynamo Kyiv, before beating Barca 3-0 at home to give themselves a great chance of reaching the knockout phase.

However, they are very much up against it in Germany, and we can only see another straightforward win for Bayern.

Score Prediction: Bayern Munich 3-0 Benfica (13/2 with Paddy Power)

Betting Tip: Bayern Munich to win both halves (6/5 with Paddy Power)
