Reasons for this Tuesday’s Football Betting Tips

Premier League action features in this Tuesday Accumulator with Everton hosting Newcastle after winning on Tyneside last month. In League Two, promotion-chasing Crewe visit struggling Macclesfield while League One improvers Portsmouth welcome mid-table fourth-tier team Scunthorpe in EFL Trophy action. Meanwhile, in FA Trophy replays, both Bath City and Barnet face lower league opposition. Odds of approximately 11/1 are likely to be available for the successful outcome of these midweek tips.

Everton vs Newcastle Betting Tip – Everton win.

When scoring a very late winner to seal a 1-0 weekend home win against Chelsea, Newcastle claimed a first Premier League victory in five outings but they had been outplayed by the Blues for much of that match. The Magpies now travel to Goodison to play an Everton team which deserved their 2-1 win at St James’ Park at the end of last year. That triumph for the Toffees is the only away success for the team since the beginning of December, but they have won three of their last four league games on home soil and could earn another three points.

Macclesfield vs Crewe Betting Tip – Crewe win.

It has been a season of struggle both on and off the pitch for Macclesfield with the Silkmen earning just one League Two victory since late October when beating out-of-form Cambridge 1-0 at Moss Rose. A visit from promotion-seeking Crewe now awaits with the visitors winning three of their last four league matches. Although the Railwaymen appear more comfortable playing at Gresty Road rather than on away soil, they have already beaten bottom five teams Leyton Orient, Carlisle and Stevenage on the road. An away win is predicted.

Portsmouth vs Scunthorpe Betting Tip – Portsmouth win.

For this EFL Trophy Fourth Round tie, Portsmouth will hope to extend their impressive form at Fratton Park this season where they are unbeaten in League One action. Pompey have won their three previous league matches at the venue including the defeats of Ipswich and Wycombe and now welcome League Two outfit Scunthorpe. The Iron ended a sequence of two league defeats by drawing 2-2 at Bradford on Saturday after being two goals adrift, but they have been generally inconsistent in recent weeks. The greater overall quality of Pompey could prevail in this tie.

Bath City vs Concord Rangers Betting Tip – Bath City win.

Ahead of this FA Trophy replay, National League South second-placed team Bath City are unbeaten in twelve competitive matches and have won six of their last seven league fixtures at the Twerton Park Stadium. City have already beaten visiting team Concord Rangers 3-1 in a home game during November and the Beach Boys are winless in three matches prior to this encounter. Although Rangers are capable of achieving surprise results, they are basically an inconsistent team and the more reliable Bath should claim another home win.

Barnet vs Farsley Celtic Betting Tip – Barnet win.

Following a free weekend when their National League match was postponed, Barnet now host this FA Trophy replay having stayed unbeaten in competitive action since losing 2-1 at Barrow back in late November. The Bees have also won three of their last four matches at the Hive and welcome a Farsley Celtic team playing in National League North and beaten in their last three league games without scoring a goal. The Celt Army have also lost three previous fixtures on the road including a 4-0 loss on Saturday, and they are facing elimination from this competition.
