Wales Open Golf Betting Tips – 25/1 and 50/1 Each-way Tips

We head back to Celtic Manor this week for the Wales Open after the Celtic Classic was played at the same venue last week. I expect that to be a pretty reliable form line this week as the course set up will be very similar all be it a lot wetter.

Wales Open Each-way Betting Tips

My first selection is GAVIN GREEN 25/1 EW. Gavin Green plays here fresher than most after returning to the tour a little later than most of the others. He missed the cut on his first start but broke 70 both times. That suggested to me his game was not far away and he got better and better as the week went on last week finishing with a stunning -8 for a solid top 15 finish. He hits the ball a country mile so the soft conditions won’t expose him here and if he can putt similar to last week I expect him to challenge here.

 

My next selection is LORENZO GAGLI 50/1 EW. Gagli was another who caught eye last week with a top 15 finish. He struck the ball solidly all week which was backed up by the tournaments stats and I believe he will continue that form this week. He has finished T34th and T14th in his two starts back so he’s certainly trending in the right direction. Another one in which the longer test due to the softer conditions will aid his chances. I’m sure the recent win of fellow countryman Renato Paratore who won for the column a couple of weeks ago will have inspired Gagli.

 

My next selection is KURT KITAYAMA 50/1 EW. Kitayama wasn’t great last week as he missed the cut but I am happy to forgive that as he just flew back from America after a solid tournament in this year’s first major. The weekend rest will have done him good and I expect an improved showing here now. He is one of the class acts in the field and he has doubled in price after last week which I believe in an overreaction. Another one who hits the ball far which will be key I believe this week.

 

My final selection is SEAN CROCKER 50/1 EW. Another American who has been playing solid golf since we resumed. He was bang there last week after 36 holes but a triple bogey 8 derailed his chance on Saturday. He bounced back well on Sunday to finish on -11 and he was very encouraged about where his game was. Back at the same course here at a similar price to last week he is another that deserves to make the shortlist here. A big hitter that can make birdies in numbers. Hopefully he can keep the big number off the scorecard and put up a bold showing here.
