What are free bets on bet365?
When you use the bet365 sign-up bonus, you will get credited with ‘free bets’ as your bonus.
You have probably received free bets at other bookmakers in the past but it is only with this sign-up offer that bet365 have changed from bet credits to free bets. When you spend your free bets, the stake is not returned as part of your return.
The main advantage to the free bets offer at bet365 is that you do not have to spend all your bonus in one go – you can split your bet credits up into a number of different bets if you wish to do so. For example, if you take full advantage of the £50 in bet credits offer, you could place 5x £10 bets with the bonus or 10x £5 bets.
How do you use your bet365 free bets on the FA Cup?
When you sign-up and satisfy the rules for the bet365 bonus, you will get free bets, also known as bet credits.
To use these, you need to select the option in your betslip when you’re placing bet to ‘use bet credits’. You need to make sure you have activated the bet credits by placing qualifying bets to at least the same value. This is where people usually struggle when trying to bet with the bet credits in a new bet365 account.

When you open a new bet365 account and you see your bet credits in the account, they are not ready to use just yet.
You have to place qualifying bets worth at least the same value as your deposit and once you have done that, you will see that the bet credits are ready to use.
You have 30 days to place those bets and see them settle. If you don’t, your credits expire at that 30-day mark and you will lose them.
e.g. deposit and bet £10 and you will get the fill £50 sign-up bonus in free bets added to your account and ready to use.
Are bet365 bet credits real money?
No. They cannot be withdrawn from your account, but you can use them in the same way as you’d use cash to place bets.
The only other difference is that your stake is not returned with your winnings when you place a bet using bet365 bet credits.
