Arsenal vs Everton Predictions

Since taking over, Ancelotti’s record reads 5W-2D-1L in the league. By comparison, Arteta’s record is 2W-5D-1L.

Just two points separate these two sides who find themselves in 9th and 10th in the league.

Arsenal are unbeaten in the league in 2020 whilst Everton have lost just once (on New Year’s Day to Manchester City).

Match Prediction – Everton to win or Draw

Everton have shot up the table since Ancelotti took charge and are in the hunt for a European spot. They were in the relegation zone in mid-December but just two months on are just five points shy fourth placed Chelsea.

Everton and Arsenal played out a fairly drab 0-0 draw the last time they faced off in the Premier League. Neither current manager was in charge at this stage so this may not be the best indicator of what to expect.

Everton have scored in each fixture since then and look far more threatening with Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison combining well. Arsenal have scored in all but one league game since that 0-0 draw and offer more in attack with Nicholas Pépé seemingly finding his feet, but Everton will be a tough test.

Anytime Goalscorer Tip – Richarlison

Richarlison has scored nine league goals this season after netting against Crystal Palace last weekend. The Brazilian international has three goals in his last four starts in the league and has adjusted well to life under Ancelotti.

Arsenal’s defensive issues have persisted under Arteta who will need more time and perhaps some new faces to fix their issues at the back. Consecutive clean sheets in the league are a promising sign but their opponents (Burnley and Newcastle) must be taken into consideration.

Over 2.5 Goals Tip

Two of Arsenal’s last three league games have featured over 2.5 goals. In five home games against teams currently placed 7th to 13th, three have featured over 2.5 goals with the other two featuring two goals.

The Toffees have been involved in three consecutive league matches with over 2.5 goals. Five out of eight of Ancelotti’s league matches have involved more than 2.5 goals and both teams have scored in six of those.

Both sides have improved offensively but still have defensive vulnerabilities which can be exploited. Over 2.5 goals looks a likely outcome for two sides still in transition.
