Chelsea vs Everton betting tips and predictions for the 2:00pm kick-off in the Premier League on 8/3/2020 and the best odds for each bet, plus some Cheltenham Festival free bet offers.

Chelsea continue to falter in their pursuit of a top-four spot with just one win from their last five league games. Meanwhile, Everton have lost just twice since Carlo Ancelotti took over just before Christmas. They thought they had beaten Manchester United with the last kick of the game last weekend, but had to settle for a point in the end.

Chelsea vs Everton Predictions

Everton have not beaten a current top 10 side away from home this season. Their only point came in a 1-1 draw away at Manchester United last weekend.

One of Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Richarlison have scored in 8 of the 10 league games since Ancelotti took charge.

Four of Chelsea’s last five league games have involved over 2.5 goals. This is also true of Everton’s last five Premier League matches.

Over 2.5 Goals Tip

Everton have kept just a single clean sheet this year. Their defensive record has been poor all season and despite the upturn in form, remains shaky at best. The Toffees attack however, is much improved in recent weeks, resulting in high scoring games.

Over the course of the last five league games, 20 goals have been scored, averaging four goals a game.

Much the same could be said about the Chelsea defence with the Blues having one of the lowest clean sheet tallies in the league. The Blues have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last six league fixtures.

There have been 17 goals scored in their last five league matches, averaging 3.4 goals a game.

Anytime Goalscorer Tip

Richarlison has scored in two of his last three games and was unlucky not to scored in the 1-1 draw with Manchester United.

The Brazilian has scored well under his new manager and has a good scoring record against top sides. He has scored against Wolves, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester City and Arsenal this season.

The goal against Chelsea came in a 3-1 win for Everton from just 70 minutes of action

Double Chance Prediction

Chelsea may have only lost one of their last five league games but their record during that period reads 1W-3D-1L. 2-2 draws with Arsenal, Leicester, and most recently, Bournemouth, suggest the Blues are struggling to get over the line.

Lampard’s side salvaged a draw against the Cherries having fallen behind after taking the lead. The same pattern occurred in the draw with Arsenal and Leicester.

Everton’s good form should be enough to trouble Chelsea and take at least a point from the Bridge, where Chelsea have won just three of their last eight league games.
